25.01.2022 No Sunday session this Sunday 16/9 as the bike park committee are tied up with other stuff. Still 2 more Sundays so we'll be back for more riding and BBQ action next week! braaaaap....

22.01.2022 Local riders Sid and Rory on the podium for Trials riding (Sport and Novice categories) at the Nationals in Bright last weekend. Well done lads!

21.01.2022 As of today we're back open! WITH some restrictions though folks. Max 10 people using the park at least 1.5m apart. Please don't gather in a big group on the start mound. Go shred!

20.01.2022 The Bike Park is closed due to coronavirus - all council facilities, skate parks, playgrounds etc in the region are all also closed. Please respect this closure, if we all do the right thing now, we can hopefully get back out there sooner. Stay safe, catch up on your bike maintenance, watch heaps of bike vids and do tons of strength work and we'll back out there in great shape when we can.

19.01.2022 Working Bee this weekend - Sunday from 3pm! Lodas of maintenance jobs to be done to keep our Bike Park in top top shape. BBQ will be fired up about 4.30. See ya there.

18.01.2022 Please see this great initiative by our friends at the Surf Coast Trail Group. Hope to see some of you there.

13.01.2022 On 22 May, Surf Coast Shire Council agreed to support our aim of saving the existing Bike Park - rather than seeing it destroyed and a new one built elsewhere. It was an important change in Council's position and we applaud them for it! At the same meeting Council resolved to offer to buy the site off Alcoa, and has since made a very generous offer (about ten times what Alcoa paid for the land!) So far Alcoa hasn't decided what to do about the offer. Their plan is still to b...ulldoze the Bike Park and sell the land for development. Disappointingly the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) is still in lockstep with Alcoa, proposing the same 13 hectares of residential and tourist accommodation development across the entire landholding. We think there's a strong chance we can bring the Bike Park land into public ownership, if DELWP stops insisting the Bike Park go and Alcoa makes the land available at a reasonable price (i.e. today's equivalent of what they paid). You can help, by showing your support via this page or the 'Save Anglesea' Facebook page, via @SaveAnglesea or @MikeBodsworth on Twitter or by contacting DELWP ([email protected]) or Minister for the Environment and Climate Change Lily D'Ambrosio (lily.d'[email protected]). Obviously, any unreasonable or offensive comments will hurt our chances rather than helping, so keep it constructive!

13.01.2022 Our friends over at the Surf Coast MTB club are having the official club launch at the Anglesea Bike Park this weekend! come along and check out what the club will be offering and how to be part of it.

11.01.2022 Just a reminder, now we're back in Stage 3 the Bike Park is closed again - let's do the right thing and hopefully we'll be open again in time for spring.

05.01.2022 Anglesea Bike Park has been selected as a recipient of the Mountain Bikes Direct Dollars For Dirt Community Funding program. We’re guaranteed to receive $300 from the program, but to secure the top grant ($600) we need your help! Between the 1st and the 25th of next month, if you shop at Mountain Bikes Direct (www.mountainbikesdirect.com.au), you can cast your vote and help decide which of three selected groups should get the $600! You simply shop as normal, and at the order confirmation page (after you checkout) you will have the ability to cast your vote. We will use the cash for upgrades and maintenance work at the park!

03.01.2022 Back to the Bike Park for jumps and sausages from 3pm tomorrow! Great turn out last week - well we got through 40 snags and that was just the kids.!!

03.01.2022 For those not aware, Forest Fire Management Victoria plan to burn the shaded area TODAY (Mon Nov 2), if conditions are suitable. The Anglesea Bike Park will be closed for the day as well as the trails above it and possibly those nearby (Clandestino, etc). Please follow all signage. For up to date burn info and maps see https://plannedburns.ffm.vic.gov.au.

02.01.2022 Hey everyone! We are closing the bike park until 3.30 pm tomorrow as we’ve had a lot of rain fall , and the tracks are pretty muddy . Hope it doesn’t inconvenience anybody and we look forward to seeing you over the holidays cheers . Anglesea bike park committee
