20.01.2022 Spent time today talking with a lovely lady and her daughter about death, heaven and funerals. Such things being relevant given the lady's medical condition. Too many families are not willing to talk about, let alone plan for the final Farewell from this mortal life - I really can understand the fear and negative connotations associated with such discussions. But such early planning relieves a grieving family of having to make important decisions at time of intense emotional turmoil. Do talk with your loved ones, tell them about your/their wishes, talk about music, hymns, bible readings and other things. Treat their passing in the same way that you celebrated other aspects of your life together!

19.01.2022 Alleluia, Christ is risen! Today at the Community o Our Lady o the Rocks Fr John celebrated and preached. We are very appreciative of the opportunity to minister with the residents, family and staff of Bupa North Rocks. Today there were 18 residents, two family members and on staff member in attendance.

13.01.2022 Service on Sunday 10th November, celebrating the 32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time. 1pm Said Eucharist (with hymns) Celebrant: Fr Gregory Horn assisted by staff and residents of Bupa North Rocks.

13.01.2022 A wonderful Spirit-filled service was held this afternoon with 23 residents joining us for Eucharist. Later we were asked to anoint one resident for her journey from this world, and two others residents asked for prayer and anointing for various complexities.

11.01.2022 Service on Sunday 9th June - Feast Day of Pentecost 1pm Eucharist Celebrant: Fr Thomas (Senior Communities' Priest) Homilist: Fr Rob Suttie efo (Associate Priest)... We believe that all women and men are the beloved children of God, without exception. All are welcome and encouraged to share in the sacramental grace of the Eucharist.

08.01.2022 Your prayers are asking for the repose of the soul of our brother in Christ, Graeme Try. Graemes funeral is on Friday morning and Fr Thomas is privileged to be part of the funeral rites. Rest eternal grant to him, O Lord: let perpetual light shine upon him.... May be rest in peace. Amen.

08.01.2022 We had the pleasure of having Revd. Br Rob Suttie celebrate the Eucharist at our service this afternoon. Fr Rob (whose professed name is Br Simeon) is a member of the Ecumenical Franciscan Order and a priest of the Blue Mountains Franciscan Church.
