14.01.2022 Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Despite doors being shut, the church hasn’t closed! We’re not using our church buildings, but we are enabling people to grow in their faith in their homes while also being supported in their uncertainty and grief. There are many remarkable stories of compassion and encouragement. The first Christians didn’t meet in church buildings there weren’t any. People met in homes to remember Jesus and his teachings. They met to worship, pray and s...upport one another, especially the vulnerable. For a time, we’re doing something similar but in a 21st century way applying the gift of technology. The first Christians had joy in their heart and a spring in their step. Even though many faced adverse social circumstances, they rejoiced that God had given them eternal hope. Christians believe that God has given us eternal hope. In our way of viewing God, the cosmos and human life death is not the end. Beyond death, we are lovingly embraced by God where we are known and have the capacity to know. The Christian faith is founded on the promise that as Jesus rose from the dead, we too will experience resurrection. +Peter
