It’s the New Year and is traditionally the opportunity to take stock, make a fresh start and plan for the future. We are also all to aware of the failure of New Year Resolutions. They are the butt of endless jokes. So, is there any hope of starting over and achieving worthwhile, permanent change, especially after the dark clouds of 2020? Well, in Sunday Jan 10th’s readings we will be considering just that. We will see God controlling the forces of chaos, introducing the way to a fresh start and turning the chaos into a cleansing, transforming life. The good thing is that this is not just academic. It’s not wishful thinking. It’s the real thing for those who embrace Jesus Christ and receive his Spirit.
