23.01.2022 Margaret Hilda Thatcher, Baroness Thatcher, LG OM PC FRS, aka Maggie Thatcher the former British MP and Prime Minister, died recently on April 8, 2013. There have been some public outpourings recently in the media, both supportive and hateful of Mrs Thatcher. There have been accolades, but also many bitter memories voiced. She will be laid to rest at a ceremonial funeral on April 17th. Despite the sharp differences of opinion of the legacy about the former PM, one th...ing that detractors and supporters have in common, is that not a single one mentions that Maggie is now physically alive again, that she has might have been been resurrected from the dead. For such a proposition would be plainly rediculous. Her mortal coil, her body, is being prepared for her funeral. It is plain and clear this is the case. Only recently, we celebrated Easter, where another famous person, Jesus Christ, who had both his detractors and supporters, both in life and in death, was remembered and honoured for his death on a cross on a Good Friday many centuries ago, his subsequent burial in a tomb, and then His amazing Resurrection from the Dead on Easter Day, or Easter Sunday, as some refer. Jesus Christ is arisen from the dead is the testimony of the Christian Church, attested by many independant eyewitness accounts. The Lord Jesus is still revered by many millions, but sadly not everyone. The Lord still has his detractors. There are many who will go along with the belief in the idea of the Resurrection of Christ unto eternal life is a truth not to be disputed, but there are none who would dispute that 7 days after her death, Margaret Thatcher is still dead. Having said this, there are many who would agree that in the fulness of time, at the end of the age, there will be a Resurrection of all peoples of all places and all times, including Maggie. What do you make of the Resurrection of Jesus ? Is he arisen in the flesh and in the spirit, in the body and the soul, just as He said he would be ? If you believe He is, do you have faith in Him ? Have you asked Him to be your Lord, and turned from sin and are you following Him ? Only in Jesus is there Resurrection unto Life Eternal. Turn to Christ, repent and believe, is the constant pleading of God to all men and women everywhere, for the time is near. Will you head this call ?

20.01.2022 As we think about Easter coming up and during this Holy Week, here is a test question. A question that causes us to confront what it is we believe about what Easter is all about. Is it possible that these are the bones of Christ Jesus of Nazareth ?

16.01.2022 Perhaps you want on occasion some uplifting modern Christian music ? So enjoy this. "Jesus, Firm Foundation" http://www.godtube.com/watch/?v=09C9FJNU

13.01.2022 "For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." 1 Corinthians 1:18

13.01.2022 From the ABC News report ... Peter Jensen gave his last Easter message in his role as Anglican Archbishop of Sydney. Dr Jensen, who retires in July, said Easter fills him with hope, through forgiveness.... "What happened at the first Easter reminds me of the love of God," Dr Jensen said. "Through the death of Jesus, even I and all of us can have forgiveness. As I think back on my time as Archbishop, naturally I look back and try to judge myself, not with much success. "But like you I have a real judge. Think how much more God, who knows all the secrets of our hearts, must be able to hold me to account. "It should make us tremble but I am filled with hope. Why? Because of Easter. Our failures are not the last word over our lives and, through the resurrection of Jesus, I have a great and undeserved hope of my own resurrection and future. "I can only quote the words of John Newton, the man who wrote the song Amazing Grace. 'I am a great sinner but Christ is a great saviour. Thank the love of God for that'." Amen.
