24.01.2022 An LLM and a Church Warden in our Parish, Andrew has been recognised for long and fatihful service to the St Joseph's Catholic School. We join St Joseph's in giving thanks for Andrew's work and faithfulness in that school community, and look forward to seeing both Andrew and Jane's continuing legacy across the Port Lincoln community.

24.01.2022 You heard right... our 9am and 10.30am services at St Thomas Port Lincoln WILL happen this Sunday (22 November: Christ the King). However, these services will not include singing and we will not celebrate Holy Communion at either service. St Matthew's Poonindie will meet in early December.... Remember to know and practice all current covid restrictions as we gather together - and stay well.

24.01.2022 As simple as we might think it is, there are some very basic rules to putting on and taking off a face mask - especially what to do with it after you have removed it.

22.01.2022 You know those sign in sheets we ask you to put your contact info on whenever you come on site? We store them securely for a month, then... all gone!

19.01.2022 The Sydney evangelist John Chapman (1930-2012) had a wonderful way of making profound truths simple and memorable. He told of being offered a cup of white tea w...ith two sugars when he preferred black coffee with no sugar. He said the person had set out to please him but had not found out what actually would please him. In the same way he said people assume God will be happy with what they offer Him but don’t try to find out what that is. In Deuteronomy 12 we move beyond the introductory chapters (1-4) and the covenant chapters (5-11) to the lifestyle chapters (12-26). And the first chapter (12) deals with the worship of God and what actually pleases Him and what He demands. - Simon Manchester. 12.01.2022 This Sunday (18 October) our 9am service will be live-streamed over on the Willochra Diocese Facebook page. Yep, they are letting us do it again.

10.01.2022 This Sunday is the beginning of the new Church year, the first Sunday of Advent. It is a season that reminds us of waiting, of hope, of faith. Surely 2020 has shown us what these things really are. Then in the Christmas celebration, we are reminded of the fulfilment of all that we have hoped for: Emmanuel, God with us.... https://unsplash.com/photos/c72eCrOstC4

09.01.2022 Get real about seeking the Way, the Truth and the Life in the One who was born on Christmas.

09.01.2022 Dear friends, as we embark on the 'Circuit Breaker', remember to be in touch with those who can't or won't ask for help. Be there. Obviously there will be no Church services in the Parish buildings for at least the week to come. Over the next days we will keep you up to date on this page and our website. Do feel free to contact Steve (this may be through Facebook Message via this page, or by mobile). Remember that the Parish office will be unstaffed so please don't call the... office phone number. God is here, and His Holy Spirit is here with us. See more

08.01.2022 The Grow Free cart is refreshed and back in action in front of the Supper Room/Parish Hall. Free to give, free to receive, 24/7.

05.01.2022 Sadly on our first day of Open Church in St Thomas Port Lincoln we found someone had caused damage in the Lady Chapel and left a nasty message in the Visitors Book. Our volunteers work hard to open the Church up for the community and have the space available for reflection and prayer when we are able. While we are disappointed, and hurt, by what has happened we will continue to open up the space under Covid-safe conditions including contact tracing and restricted access to pews (there are seats at the front to sit quietly in if needed).

02.01.2022 Tomorrow at 9am & 10.30am at St Thomas Port Lincoln (remember to adjust your clocks forward for Daylight Saving tonight): We take a look at the Who, the Why and the What of the Ten Commandments (or the "Decalogue", the Ten Words) in Exodus 20. Do you know what they say or do you just think you do? And are they still relevant...?

01.01.2022 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction. - 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
