24.01.2022 Arden Anglican School's Student Celebration embraces Hope. The student leaders were given a brief to create a message based on one of our School Values, 'Hope', which could be shared with the School Community. This has matched the theme for our whole school for Term 2, which has also been about 'Hope'. The student wrote the piece herself and the hope picture at the start and finish was created by drawing on a home driveway and then the student taking a picture on a phone. It was put together at school supported by another of the school leaders. The students filmed the message on a lap top, then put the photo and film together in a PowerPoint. This was then turned into a video. This was all achieved by two Year 6 student leaders with minimal guidance.

23.01.2022 Another outstanding video for the 2020 ASA Student Celebration. All Saints Anglican School showcases their annual Year 9 Service Learning camp. During this camp, approximately 170 students are provided with a unique opportunity for personal growth. The core premise underpinning each activity is how true leadership is through service to the community and those in need. The two specific activities that engage students in direct service to others and the wider community are a beach clean-up and visiting with residents in four aged care facilities.

23.01.2022 The Student Celebration continues with the students at St Mary's Anglican Girls School running several fundraising activities throughout the year raising over $10 000 for the Sapphire Coast Anglican College, Wildlife Emergency Fund (WIRES), Anglicare's Bushfire Appeal and Zoos Victoria.

20.01.2022 Ballarat Grammar has submitted an amazing video for the Student Celebration. During lock-down the school was determined that students' horizons of engagement should not shrink along with their confinement, but that we find away to maintain our normal commitment to community service. Kristy Ward, our Year 9 level coordinator, hit upon the idea of a senior school-wide donation drive for Anglicare, our local welfare organisation, which has a significant ministry to the city's homeless, themselves facing considerable disruption to their usual channels of support during lockdown. Each year level was assigned a particular kind of grocery, and dropped them off at school for Anglicare to collect.

18.01.2022 National Sorry Day is an important date to acknowledge and recognise members of the Stolen Generation. Today we pay tribute to those who found the courage to tell their stories, and to all of those whose suffering remains. It is a day to remember the past and to recognise the importance of the role we can all play in healing now, and in the future.
