22.01.2022 It’s no secret that people in regional Australia face extra challenges of poorer property standards, a lack of jobs opportunities and more barriers to accessing support services. Affordable and social housing solutions are needed if our country towns, coastal communities and regional cities are to remain vibrant and productive places.

21.01.2022 It’s been good to see nurses and care workers working so hard to ensure the residents are well cared for. I love chatting and playing games like bingo with the residents. It’s so rewarding to hear that they really enjoy my company and that I’m brightening their day. - Yasmin (24), AnglicareSA volunteer

21.01.2022 Remembrance Day holds particular significance for many of our aged care residents and customers. Today we recognise the service and sacrifice of the veterans in our care, and all the loved ones lost to war. We will remember them. Lest we forget.

17.01.2022 Homelessness and social housing is not a destination. It is a vulnerable time in a person’s life when they need a safe home to regain their independence. - Michelle Gegenhuber, AnglicareSA Executive General Manager, Housing & Homelessness Services

15.01.2022 To say it’s been a challenging time for our staff and residents at our Brompton aged care home is an understatement. We’re so grateful to our team for their tireless efforts to safeguard the health and wellbeing of our residents and each other. Our residents are doing well in the very difficult circumstances, as are our 14 Brompton employees in quarantine. Our care and concern remains with our 4 employees diagnosed with COVID-19 and currently isolating in medi-ho...tels. We thank them all for their support and cooperation to help keep everyone safe. So far, after 4 rounds of testing, all 40 of our residents have tested negative for COVID-19. While it gives us hope that the virus hasn't spread, it's not over yet. We continue to be vigilant in our testing and safety regimes to ensure the ongoing protection of residents, staff and the community. Read more: https://anglicaresa.com.au/covid-19-update/

15.01.2022 Gosh! Check out the hidden talents of our community housing tenants To keep everyone connected when the pandemic first hit earlier in the year, we provided quilting packs to interested tenants and community members. After months in the making, we're overjoyed to share the finished product to be put on display at our community offices for all to see! Even when times are tough, together we change lives. Well done to all staff, volunteers and tenants involved

15.01.2022 AnglicareSA confirms that two employees at its Brompton aged care home tested positive to COVID-19 on Sunday 15 November. With immediate effect we have taken the following actions: closure of the facility to all visitors a full clean of the site... mandatory precautionary testing for all staff and residents - they will be retested at 72 hours and again on day 12 isolation for all residents of the facility all staff now working at the Brompton site are wearing full PPE Further, we've immediately taken the additional precaution of limiting access to all residential care settings for aged care and disability services locations for the next 48 hours. We're taking no chances in safeguarding the wellbeing of our residents and staff. Residents’ families are being kept informed and we'll provide more information as it becomes available.
