21.01.2022 Did you know rest and quality sleep help improve your mental wellbeing? Whether its going for a walk outside or 10 minutes of meditation each day, rest helps to recover and recharge your body. It's recommended we get 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night. Here are a few tips to help you sleep:... avoid caffeine in afternoons and evenings stick to a consistent sleep cycle, even on the weekends at least 1 hour before bed, swap screen time for a relaxing bath. So please, come along for the walk, lunch, music, resources and possibly a touch of yoga & creativity - while connecting with others and local services. 05.01.2022 Anglicare would like to acknowledge and pay respect to the Tasmanian Aboriginal community as the traditional and original owners and continuing custodians of this land lutruwita (Tasmania) and acknowledge Elders past, present and emerging. This week is #NAIDOCWeek and the theme this year is "Always Was, Always Will Be." recognising that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. #NAIDOC2020 invites all Australians to celebrate that Australia has the oldest continuing cultures on the the plant and to recognise that the Aboriginal people's sovereignty was never ceded.

04.01.2022 This #NAIDOCWeek2020, we are celebrating the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Encouraged by the Aboriginal advisory group, yarnin up, we're exploring the theme Always Was, Always Will Be by sharing information about land hand-backs. The return of land is important recognition that Aboriginal people have occupied and cared for lutriwita (Tasmania) for tens of thousands of years. Did you know, in 1995 three significant cave sit...es were returned to the Tasmanian Aboriginal community? These caves, Kutikina, Wargata Mina and Ballawinne show that Aboriginal people have been living in this part of the world for at least 35,000 years. These sites are now included in the Aboriginal Heritage of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area (#TWWHA). #NAIDOC2020
