25.01.2022 Ohh yeah! I’ve been trying to get a photo of a camel wearing a flaphat since October. 5 months later and a dude walks past my driveway with camels in tow on the way to Tasmania. Great story and great guy @johnartelliott #beerbartering #camelhat #deadcamel #languagewarning

25.01.2022 KEEP IT SIMPLE We played around with various concepts on the journey, but less is always more with identity work. Some of our latest work for Edward St Obstetrics & Gynaecology. . Collab x @samuel.spreitzer

25.01.2022 T I M B E R ......!!! Kurrajong Timber. Working with clients that support the community like these guys, really doesn't feel like work at all. . Did you know that Kurrajong have a custom timber processing plant in Wagga? Well we didn't... until we built them a website. They've done everything from bird nest boxes and custom skirting boards, to supplying timber to major retailers. .... . . Image credit: @mattbeaverphotography See more

24.01.2022 WHY we buy We buy the HAPPINESS (that we believe) the purchase will bring us. Consider the car buyer. We imagine the amazing adventure we'll go on with the kids. We imagine getting out of the new car at a picnic surrounded by friends we love. Pulling the bikes and kayak off the roof at a camping trip. Taking that journey over the mountains you've been planning for years. We tell ourselves this thing will make us happier. Now we can do what we've been dreaming.... Effective marketing sells the 'road' to happiness, not the 'vehicle' itself. Don't market your product. Market happy. Market a lifestyle.

24.01.2022 What should a builder's website look like? THIS (ha well we think so anyway!). Always the best part of our job is meeting new clients and @bbconstructions were no exception. Lovely people. So lovely, we thought they were even more important than the beautiful buildings they custom build. ... In this site we hero-ed the TEAM local people you'd trust with your dream home. See more

23.01.2022 The Ants are commuting by bike today with the little Antmobile out of action and in the hands of auto electrician @kadepasslow

22.01.2022 BIG WEEK at the office. Celebrating the end of it with a sneaky Peroni, whilst getting some branding concepts out the door by COB

17.01.2022 Behind the scenes of today’s shoot with @mattbeaverphotography We had to pull in some very special talent to lick up all of the melting ice cream

17.01.2022 Today’s office. The little antmobile made it up the Tumba and Batlow hills to capture imagery for the Rail Trail and local MTB parks with @mattbeaverphotography and @visitsnowyvalleys . Despite the bushfire damage the recovering forests and rolling hills are still a great way to recharge your mental batteries. A coffee and gnocchi at @courabyrawines didn’t hurt either! We’ll be back with the fam in a few weeks to make a weekend of it. @ Tumbarumba, New South Wales

17.01.2022 Buying local (supportive) VS buying online (convenience). Convenience has such an influential effect on our buying behaviour that it takes a very special offering to overpower it. Good news, it is possible to SWIM WITH THE CONVENIENCE CURRENT. At Angry Ant we see more and more local clients achieve success with a recipe of locally grown produce + convenient online services. @mychefcuisine @thegatheredgreen @obsessionwines to name a few.... BECOME CONVENIENT to your customers. Convenience is here to stay... and let's all work on the buy local thing while we're at it See more

16.01.2022 Your business + the VIRUS. Can we help? . Our team are offering to help small local businesses that expect to be impacted by COVID-19 at heavily discounted prices and working extended hours to act quickly. E-commerce services and product deliveries are expected to be in high demand during periods of isolation (nothing you don't already predict right). So... . HOW WE CAN HELP based on recent client requests:... 1 // Quick no-frills e-commerce websites sell online and deliver your goods if predicted lock downs are enforced on business and customers 2 // Social media scheduling increase your post volume during peak demand 3 // Social media branding + strategy pro custom social templates your staff can use whilst working from home to nail your social game 4 // Photo library assets for your staff to post during isolation 5 // Email marketing just as important as ever while we're all working from home! . Shout out if you're in the same boat as other clients wanting some of the above services. Also happy to discuss any ideas that need to be executed quickly or tough financial situations. In normal times we do really love slow-cooked and well-crafted bespoke product, but right now we're just happy to just help local businesses to prepare for the next few months as quickly and practically as you need us to. A healthy business environment on the other side of this thing is good for us all. . Stay safe and don't be too proud to put your hand up for help, if your business needs it! See more

15.01.2022 S O R R Y Apologies in advance if you find some of our designer's drool on these labels we designed for Thirsty Crow we can't wait to sample the cookie beer The Anzac inspired "I did it for the cookie" was launched this afternoon. Support local business (and jobs) by getting your hands on some.

15.01.2022 The branch of TRUST - Stop being a stranger Imagine your close friends are at the trunk of the tree. You know they wont screw you over and will likely fix anything that breaks for free. As you venture further away from the trunk, there are 'friends of friends' or people that come recommended. Reach the twigs and leaves and you're way out on a limb rolling the dice doing business with a stranger! ... Unfortunately we don't have enough friends that they can provide every product and service we desire in 2020, so we do have to trust our money with strangers. YOU too are a stranger to many of your potential clients. To generate trust, you need to market YOU and your TEAM and stop being a stranger. People want to work with people they know and like. You won't make it to your new client's trusted trunk immediately (and likely ever), but you don't need to. You just need to be standing on a thicker branch than the 'other guy'. See more

14.01.2022 CIDERfest! Stop looking at my enlarged biceps and check out how cool CiderFest’s hand knitted beanies are! Our Angry Ant team have been busy creating a new website and marketing for next years event. Having a lot of fun with this one. Can’t wait to share it!

13.01.2022 BUSHFIRES + TOURISM (Snowy Valleys) Back in the office today after talking with Tumut (and surrounding) tourism operators affected by the recent bushfires. With support from other business owners, @riverinamurray and our community, there is potential to rebuild bigger and better If you know of a fire-affected tourism operator that could use Angry Ant's marketing help, please send them our way for some FREE marketing advice, website updates or a social media package.

13.01.2022 S T A N D . O U T If your marketing doesn't stand out stop everything! You're wasting your money! . Create to be noticed, to be remembered, to be referred, and to be recalled at the time of purchase. .... If you're playing it safe, you're not in the game. See more

13.01.2022 D U N G . B E E T L E S We wouldn't have believed it if you told us we'd be working on a 3yr national program to introduce new species of dung beetles to Australia yet here we are, and loving it! Over the past six months, Angry Ant have been rolling out a range of print and digital collateral to help inform livestock producers of the benefits that these hard working creatures bring to their farm assisting in pasture growth, reducing water runoff and getting rid of those annoying bush flies! A collab with superstars @mattbeaverphotography and @georgie_regional_pr

12.01.2022 CALM + KARMA Another early start in the office and another day of opportunity for local businesses to get creative and think local. Excited to be working with visionary people that support local. Karmas only a bitch for those that don’t contribute. Now is the time to look to others. Stay safe and be kind.

12.01.2022 IMAGINE running a business in 1875... (pre phone) You're a baker and and someone else has setup shop in town. How do you succeed? a ) Absolutely NAIL your baked goods... b ) Have a caring conversation with customers "How are the apples this season? Have you had any luck selling that rooster?" c ) Over-deliver throw in an unexpected free donut for little Johnny, who is bored and being a pest while his mum buys the bread. In a world of call centres, chat bots, automated emails, and buying likes on Instagram maybe we just need to chill out and 'customer service' like it's 1875 See more

11.01.2022 P A P E R W O R K Yesterday's project. We love designing for paper, but no one likes filling out paperwork! . 10.01.2022 DOOMSDAY PREPPING in the Angry Ant office today We're really just putting together some tasty "thank you" packs for the legends that support the Gears + Beers event. Only thing better than a hand-written thank you note right now, is one that comes with craft beer from our local @tcbrewery + some rare toilet paper. #angryant #marketing #waggawagga #gearsandbeers #rotary

07.01.2022 STRIVE FOR THANK YOU My own pathway to a career in design and marketing started with drawing pictures for my parents as a child. It was one of the few skill-sets I had in primary school to thank them in my own way. In a funny way, this is still the fundamental driver to the design and marketing work we do at Angry Ant. Skin deep, yep we want to achieve client's business goals (of course), but at our core we're just creatives we want clients to be really proud of our efforts. Dig a little deeper, and we strive for a THANK YOU (who doesn't), we want a long-term relationship with like-minded people, and go home to the family feeling good about the day #happyants

07.01.2022 P L A Y . L O N G In branding, marketing and life decisions should be made considering the long term outcomes. At Angry Ant we keep it simple: + Do work we love. + Do work our customers love. ... + Be real & honest. + Be good humans. Great clients and happiness will follow !!

07.01.2022 How good would a drive-in cinema be in Wagga right now with COVID life?? It ticked all the practical health hurdles, but not supported by government policy (which is understandably black and white at this time). Just one of the cracking ideas coming out of Thirsty Crow to keep the community ticking over and create jobs. Looking forward to helping make this a reality when regs allow. Until then, it’s on the the next idea...

04.01.2022 Perks of working from home in winter. Chorizo risotto lunch reheated old school style. I’m stretching out this work from home thing as long as I can!

04.01.2022 Unfortunate captioning . No mum I didn't die in the "ill-fated... aged care home". We did however do our bit and help out the Riverina Producers' Market to get them online. You can now buy fresh local produce online in a one-stop shop from over 20 producers. Delivery available in Wagga and Junee. #supportlocal #buylocal Shop >> https://riverinaproducersmarket.com.au

03.01.2022 It started with a N A M E. Our relationship wth Tiff (from @mamabebirth ), started with generating business names for her. Since that initial brainstorming session it's been branding, a website, social design, and all sorts of print collateral over the last few years. Last week we've just rolled out some new signage for her as she kicks some more goals . . Photo credit @emmajohnsonphotography

03.01.2022 MUUUUUD!!!! Hands down most AWESOME photoshoot we've EVER organised. . It was an @_angryant x @mattbeaverphotography x @damian__jenkins collab, with massive help from the Mortimer Apparel crew who helped make mud, erect goal posts, and fed the rowdy kids an overdose of sugar to maximise their performance on camera! .... @mortimerapparelaus sports ethos is "GET DIRTY, PLAY FAIR". We love this grass roots approach that reminds us all of why we played sport as kids, and to just have fun. See more

02.01.2022 Rainy day calories Smashing out some proposals with a cup of tea, Bruce "the boss" Springsteen, and some of @katie_o_photo 's ROCKY ROAD

01.01.2022 M A P . D E S I G N Visual communication trumps detail. This morning we've been finalising the Tumba to Rosewood Rail Trail map. If you ever need to create a map, be sure to check out the work of Harry Beck (designer of the London Underground map). It'll look strangely familiar! His work influences pretty much every transport map created since 1933. The Tumbarumba to Rosewood Rail Trail officially opens in 45 days (3rd April). At around 21kms in length and relatively flat it's an easy ride. Sounds like a great excuse to visit the surrounding areas and inject some much need tourism to the bushfire affected area.

01.01.2022 Effective design = solving problems The challenge Design a logo for a lengthy business name "Apartments on Morrow" The solution Abbreviate like crazy and seek symmetry with the "o". Thanks for trusting us @apartmentsonmmorrow the signage looks great.
