The Federal Government today announced the...y’d withdrawn the proposed oil and gas exploration acreages off Ningaloo. This was after thousands of you wrote directly to old mate Resources Minister @keithpittmp and told him what a colossally fucking stupid idea blasting and drilling for gas next to a World Heritage marine wilderness would be. They shouldn’t be congratulated for pulling out. The grubs should not have been there in the first place. But good news for Ningaloo was bad news for the Bonaparte Gulf, the Otway Basin and Bass Strait that all saw new exploration acreages confirmed to be carved up, sold and drilled.
