22.01.2022 I love to hand quilt and have always based my quilts on the dining room floor. The last appliquéd quilt was 80x 80 so I had it commercially based. So I decided to hand baste my Cats in the Garden clammy quilt. I had forgotten how much it hurt my knees!!! Yowee!! I’m not sure I’ll be doing another one on the floor..... maybe I’m just getting soft in my old age

15.01.2022 Loving this rain! Just right for sewing this afternoon. A few weeks ago I spent a very enjoyable day with @notjuzahuswife in a workshop at @peppermintstitches. A few more blocks sorted today even though I should have been doing something Christmassy like putting up the tree! It will happen as all our family will be here for the day. Plenty of time ....right?!

11.01.2022 How fantastic are these centre blocks by two of my Tutti Fruitti quilt students I was asked how I arrange blocks with colour Hmmm.... not easy to explain but I either balance colour or blend depending on the fabrics being used. These two give an example of each. How do you plan colour in a quilt?... On another note...I said in my last post that I would be reopening my website but unfortunately due to work and increased family duties this won’t be happening at the moment. However please DM me for any enquires regarding hats or clothing

09.01.2022 A little late posting but I’ve just had a fabulous weekend in Melbourne for AQC and a quick trip out to @queenoffabric You would think working in a quilt shop @peppermintstitches I would have way too much fabric.... always room for a little more Swipe to see the stairway to our Airbnb in the clouds in Fitzroy, laneway art and the amazing view!
