24.01.2022 The opening of the Auburn connector of the Riesling to Rattler Trail was 'full steam' ahead yesterday afternoon with a wonderful representation of people who have been involved in this achievement in so many different ways. The weather stayed calm and cool enough for all to enjoy a walk or a cycle along the new stretch of the Riesling Trail northwards through the Arch and across the bridge once the ribbon had been officially cut, and then south to the Rattler Rail Trail to look at the just completed information board on the history of the Auburn railway and station. Thank you to everyone who attended it was a great show of respect for all the work that has gone into this huge development made for all to enjoy.#Rieslingtrail #auburnconnector #RattlerRailTrail #ClareandGilbertValley #Railtrailsaustralia #clarevalleycycling
21.01.2022 Facebook asks what’s on our minds everyday, today like many many others, we have an event on our minds that we desperately wish could be undone. I dedicate this photo of the dawn today to the four police officers, their families and colleagues whose lives have changed forever, the tragedy made so much worse as the ‘catalyst’ of the whole event was already a known criminal.Deepest thoughts are with everyone, the emergency services too who had to attend such a scene and do their ‘work’ through a wall of tears and emotion, nothing but admiration for them. A sad day, they will not be gone from our minds in a very long time.
20.01.2022 An ifor Photography will be at the Market with our Clare Valley Calendar 2020, and regional photographs to buy, perfect gifts for friends and family to share beautiful sights from around our region with, put the date on your Clare Valley 2019 calendar and come and buy next years one.
19.01.2022 'Paying it forward', the Pedal Bi-plane we are raffling for Sapphires NF2 Fund is the perfect way to do this, both for the fund itself and for someone, a group,... association, other, if you win it and pass it on to a person or school, playground, playschool, kindy, or other ideas you have. Many people don't have room for the pedal biplane at their homes, or have children of the appropriate age to give it to if they win it, so why not buy a raffle ticket anyway and make others smile when you, 'pay it forward,' by giving it to them if you are the lucky winner ? At $5 a ticket it is an inexpensive way of 'giving' in many ways. Pay your raffle ticket money into the Fund account, Sapphire's NF2 Fund Pty Ltd, BSB: 015010 Account Number: 472 347 934 message us here when you have, and we will verify payment and then make a ticket out in your name.#payitforward #pedalbiplane #snf2 #nf2 #snf2raffle See more
19.01.2022 Covid-19 Photography series. Beauty is still all around us and while there is so much less man made noise, we can hear the sound of nature so much clearer, bees were buzzing around the blossom this morning and not letting their vital work 'bee' postponed.#stayathome

14.01.2022 The 'Grand Finale' of the Auburn Connector developments has happened today with the placing of the Arch on the new section of the Riesling trail at the junction with Archer Street at Auburn, this is a fantastic culmination for everyone involved. Please try to attend the official opening on 19th November at 4pm, wine from Jeffrey Grosset and Stephanie Toole of Mount Horrocks Wines, and food from Cogwebs Hub Café will be available to celebrate the opening, it is a very worthy development for our region to be recognised by all of us. Go and take a look and a walk, ride or run under it. More signage and trail markings were also completed at the new trail crossings at Archer Street and Horrocks Highway, its now up to you to enjoy it all and tell your friends and visitors.
13.01.2022 'Boomerang Billabong' this panorama view is at Renmark, SA, the off white of the minerals frames the water beautifully and makes the muddy colour look almost golden.
12.01.2022 Covid-19 Photography series. One of us has got to go, three is definitely a crowd now, the premier told us so! Even if you are on your own at home, we are all in this together, so you're not really alone, we'll get through it.
09.01.2022 Covid-19 Photography Series. The moon is putting its best, full, side on for us tonight, showing that although life on earth has changed for us all, our universe continues as it always has, giving us hope that we earthlings will return to our ‘full’ activities when this phase has passed.
09.01.2022 Mallala Racetrack SA, where the heat haze from the engines was exceeded by the haze of the sun on the track, but it didn't stop the riders putting the heat on each other in the competition.
09.01.2022 Covid-19 Photography series. These train tracks were laid long ago to reduce the time and distance between us all, now not in use they have ceased to reduce that distance between us, just as we too need to cease reducing the distance between each of us, and instead increase it, the difference being with the train track its permanent, for us its just for now. Meantime we can enjoy taking a walk along this old line and enjoy fresh air and photography to fill our time.
09.01.2022 Today, 10th January 2020 is Friday Night drinks at Clare Valley Wine Food and Visitor Centre, and the CVWFTC team have agreed to help in raising money for Kangaroo Island, by selling my Clare Valley Calendars 2020, with no sales commission taken by them, and no charges from me, which means that all of the money paid for each calendar will go towards helping support Kangaroo Island, the KI Mayoral fund. Would you please consider buying one of the calendars and helping to suppo...rt KI, they are priced at $25 each, (if you wanted to pay more that's even better it will all go to KI), they are the gift that keeps on giving throughout the year with a new photo of our beautiful region every month, for you or family and friends. Have a wonderful evening 5-7pm at the Centre tonight and thank you from me in advance for supporting your own region by attending the Centres event, as well as another of South Australia's treasured regions through buying a calendar and supporting KI.#cvwftc #authentickangarooisland #supportki #clarevalleycalendars #fridaynightdrinks #aniforphotography See more
08.01.2022 Wow, just wow!!, the new Auburn Connector Riesling to Rattler Rail Trail, bridge and trail extensions are a fantastic and wonderful sight to see, and achieving all of it represents so much of what is so good about the Clare and Gilbert Valley region. It has taken time, money, physical effort to achieve all of this and so much of it by volunteers giving so much of themselves. We hope that many of our residents of the town and region will take the time to walk, run or cycle the... new routes and say a thank you to all those who have made this a reality. The thanks should include those who have done work as paid contractors because they too have given way beyond what they are paid for, through giving their own time and the attention to detail, to make this such a stunning feature for the benefit of all who see and use it, and make this already world renowned rail Trail even more of an attraction to visitors. Take a look now, you can use the new trail routes and bridge, signage is in progress and there will be another feature going in next week, but also come along to the official opening on the 19th November at 4pm and talk to the Riesling Trail Committee Members, locals who have donated land, and money to the project, politicians who have supported grant applications, contractors who have worked on all aspects of the development and see how our wider community has come together to achieve this amazing result, it will gladden your heart and reinforce your reasons for choosing to live, work and relax in this beautiful region and for visitors to come and share the experience that we can all enjoy everyday.#Rieslingtrail #RattlerRailtrail #Auburnconnector #railtrailsaustralia #clareandgilbertvalley #auburnsoutherngatewaytotheclarevalley See more
06.01.2022 Covid-19 series photography. There is a 'Hierachy' to social isolation, the cat, the dog then if we're lucky the human beings, lining up for a turn in the sun.
04.01.2022 It’s wonderful to be able to combine my photography by taking photos of the food I make for the Cafe.
02.01.2022 With more time to take photographs now, I am starting a series of photographs to help pass the message to everyone about what we all need to do to minimse the risk of spreading Covid-19.The photographs will all utilise nature to share the message. I hope they help to bring interest into your day of what we can still enjoy in nature around us in these times. 'Spread your wings between each other and you've got the minimum distance you need to keep apart'. Clare and Gilbert Valley SA
