25.01.2022 Are you feeling the cold lately? Imagine your pets outside. Our chook pen has tin and a tarp on the roof and 2 sides to block the rain and wind. Rosies cage is under cover and has an enclosed area with lots of fleece bedding. Do you have guinea pigs that live outdoors? Please make sure you cover them at night! Even though in their bedding they should have something warm and snuggly they still need something over their cage to protect them from winter weather. Our piggies hav...e a thick padded dog cushion for the flooring where they sleep and fleece blankets on top so they can snuggle in between it and underneath. At night, we put a large picnic rug over their cage with the fabric on the inside but leaving an area still for good ventilation. If your cold, they are cold. See more

25.01.2022 Instead of my daughter helping us set up for other childrens birthdays, today it was finally her turn! Today we celebrated her 7th birthday.

24.01.2022 Today we went to Maryborough and celebrated a little farm girls 5th birthday. This was our first job since the start of the pandemic so while our animals are getting used to it all again, I must say they loved the cuddles. This was also Rosies first job and she did extremely well Happy 5th birthday Miss Millie, we hope you enjoyed your birthday. Thankyou for inviting us and our freinds

21.01.2022 Woke up to some beautiful spring weather Now that all the rain is gone our piggies are having some much needed time on the grass, after being indoors from the weather. Look at them lounging around 10mins of some vitamin D and now a few hours under the shade. Note: If you are giving your guinea pig grass time like this, full sun MUST be of a morning and for a short period, even though its not summer the sun can be very dangerous and fatal as they can become dehydrated a...nd can cause heat stroke. Also, make sure you are home when having them in the yard even if you have provided shade, the sun can move quickly. Guinea pigs ALWAYS need access to clean water. See more

17.01.2022 How exciting! We have now been in business for 1 whole year since purchasing Animal Magic from Leanne. I must admit, it was such a huge decision. It took me weeks to decide whether being a business owner was the right thing for me. Being a mum, teachers aide, studying and being a business owner made me sweat at the thought of doing it all at once. But you know what? We can do ANYTHING we set our minds too do. We dont always know how some things will work out with the choices... that we make unless we TRY and give things a go... anything is possible I thought to myself. Most of you know the love I have for animals and also working with children and elderly. I have loved animals since I was a child as I was so very lucky to grow up on my Grandma and Poppys farm. Since 15years of age I have worked at the special school and absolutely love the feeling of making a difference in childrens lives. So, I had thought to myself, if I love working with children and love animals.. why not give this business a go and see what happens. So I did. I am soo thankful I listened to my thoughts and gave it a go. I couldnt have made a better choice. For myself there have been happiness, stress, smiles, hospital trip and tears but most of all being the reason for a childs smile has definitely showed me that I made the right decision in taking over Animal Magic On The Move. We arent exactly where we wanted to be as COVID has given us a huge set back, but I am hoping to bring you more exciting things as soon as we are able too. I have met so many beautiful families, children and elderly and am looking forward to meeting so many more. Thankyou to everyone who has helped me along this journey, who has booked with me and to the future bookings. I cant wait to meet more amazing people in this community. 16.01.2022 Good morning all! If you are wanting to make a booking in September or October please book in a date as soon as you can. Rosie is due for desexing (due to a requirement of having her in QLD) and she will be all snugged up relaxing inside for a few weeks so is unable to join our magic. I am trying to plan this around jobs so no one misses out on bunny cuddles Have a wonderful week

06.01.2022 A few months ago we moved our guinea pigs off the cold grass and put artificial grass down which stays dry in winter and is much easier to clean. Now we have planted grass seeds in lots of little containers so they can still eat the grass. When one is being eaten, one is growing and one is ready to go. Such a quick an simple rotation and they love it.

06.01.2022 Willow- our beautiful texel guinea pig is having some sleepovers inside for the next few weeks. She has been loosing her hair which we thought she was self barbering as guinea pigs do, but it was starting to get a little too much.. so we were off to the vets for a visit this afternoon. Turns out it could be 2 things. She is either stressed from the other guinea pigs or has a tumour in her organs. So over the next few weeks we will be monitoring her closely. If her hair grows back then she will be fine, but if it doesnt.. then we are off to the vets to do more testing which would mean its something quite more serious. We will keep you updated

02.01.2022 Today was a productive day. Every cage and flooring is sanitised and cleaned with solution to prevent parasites, and our girls have some new fleece bedding for winter
