25.01.2022 National Feral Cat Day - lets make every day a feral cat day.

25.01.2022 We are looking for a foster carer for a very special cat. Buddie came to AWL with what we thought was a flea allergy and after treatment he recovered and his fur grew back. He is currently in care but needs to have a foster home where he can be the centre of attention as we feel he is over grooming now as he is stressed and lonely. Buddie is a super friendly cat, he just loves people and wants to be with a human constantly. In his current foster home he spends a fair bit of ...time alone and we think this is impacting Buddie's health. Buddie will head butt you gently, will sit on your lap and purrs like a well oiled machine. He is an expert at cat padding while he circles to find the perfect spot to curl up on your lap. We would like to get Buddie into a foster home with someone that is home more than away and can give Buddie all the attention he craves. Buddy is currently under vet checks which AWL will continue and cover all costs. His personal vet is at Box Hill. We are unsure how Buddie reacts with other felines but over the next few days will endeavour to test his reaction with other cats. If you would like to foster Buddie please contact our page. Please note that we are volunteers that run the branch and many of us work full time so we will endeavour to get in touch with you within 48 hours. See more

15.01.2022 How many angels do you have in your home. ? I have 4 of the feline line and 1 x canine.

15.01.2022 Please dont overlook an adult cat when you are looking to add a feline to your family. This poem was sent to us by a lovely person who has taken on an adult cat.

12.01.2022 Meet Lara Lara is about 2 years old and has been in foster care since she was rescued with her two kittens. She has come a long way in the months she has been in care and now needs her own forever home. She is shy with strangers until she gets to know you so someone that understands this would be ideal. She enjoys being brushed and loves pats. She is very food orientated so this will always win her over. Please email [email protected] for more information on this gorgeous girl. AWL NSW Rehoming Organisation Number: R251000222.

09.01.2022 It breaks our heart to see that we actually need to advertise about this. Whilst this is a Xmas message that every year goes around via social media, we think that in Covid times it is also VERY IMPORTANT. Our biggest fear is not for cats that our branch rehomes but for the dogs that people have adopted during this period. Please if you have adopted a dog recently, get the dog use to periods of time where you are away from the home so when you return to work the dog does not become destructive in your yard or house. Start with short periods and increase over time. Dont leave it until you get back to work, start now.

05.01.2022 Is your cat desexed? If not please refer to the chart below showing what your cat could produce after one litter. Please desex your cat so you are not adding to the over-supply of kittens this season.

03.01.2022 No worries, no stress, no pain, no future planning just enjoying their today..just amazing
