25.01.2022 Hades LOVES his training sessions. Can you tell by the smile on his face?

25.01.2022 Who is ready for Xmas ?!?! Sadie and Barney are set for the big day thanks to @groomingcompany for making them look their best Although... i wonder if these two are on the naughty or nice list this year

25.01.2022 Putter, Sadie & Nahla on todays river outing Hard at play while their owners are hard at work These outings are a great way for your dog to burn some energy, make some friends and build confidence! Hopefully this bunch will sleep for the rest of the day and be extra good for their owners now all that energy is out of their system!!

24.01.2022 Monte, Dorito and Cannibal enjoying an early morning run and swim! Did you know included in our puppy program is a group outing to be used as a session? Today Monte came out with the group for the first time, stepping into his big boy shoes and showing us how confident he is and how well he can socialise!

24.01.2022 Albert learning the art of being calm today at his home session When having guests over to his home, Albert will bark, jump at the back door and do anything he can to get attention- even purposely setting the neighbours dogs off too (he isn’t silly, thats for sure)! Trying to enjoy having him inside regularly can be difficult for his family as he can be naugty and get into things and not settle. ... Today we worked on implementing a place command to teach him to be calm when in doors and to have more control over him when guests come over. Albert is a smart boy, a little too smart for his own good! Being a typical lab we can’t wait to see him enjoy his training and put it to good use!

24.01.2022 Today Mr Rufus came out with me to work on his anxiety in busy places. He was able to hold a down stay and not bark. Restless and frequent movement can also be signs of distress but after giving Rufus commands to keep his mind off what was going on around him, he was able to sit with me calmly Great job today, Rufus!

24.01.2022 Miss Georgia has joined us for the next 5 weeks to work on her obedience! This smart 11 month old girl is ready for a big push with her training, making everything she does good even better

23.01.2022 Sweet boy Rocky finished up his 5 week program this week! It was great watching his confidence grow along the way through structured exposure in busy environments. Onto the next journey now as his GSD sister has also signed up to train with us!

23.01.2022 Little excursion for Rip yesterday, building his confidence in busy areas and around cars He was on his best behaviour!

23.01.2022 Big day for Romeo today! Working on his social skills and also some distraction training on and off lead! He did a great job at listening to me even with Sadie running around and other dogs being a distraction! This is great progress for his training and we are so proud

23.01.2022 Check out miss Luna building confidence through place training out the front of the dog park learning to just chill and that the park is an okay place to be and not wanting to run back and hide in the car Happy Monday guys! We love to see you practicing your training

23.01.2022 Week 4 for Okko the dog aggressive, anxious and reactive cattle dog! He did such a great job today with a 1 on 1 dog interaction! He is still a bit awkward with how to play but he will get the hang of it soon Super proud of his progress so far!

23.01.2022 Someone’s a happy pup! Russ the GSP’s face says it all after learning how to walk nicely on the lead with no pulling. More relaxing walks to come for him and his owner Dogs NEED and LOVE structure on their walks. A lack or structure can result in your dog developing reactivity to other people or dogs, anxiety or even some behavioural problems. It’s so important to get our dogs used to leash pressure, structure and boundaries correctly while on walks. ... Want your dog to be as happy as Russ on their walks? We are here to help!!

23.01.2022 We welcomed another big bunch on newcomers this week including these 4 cheeky pups! Mahlee the english bulldog is here to work on her obedience and to learn some manners as she is a sassy pup and has learnt how to push her mums buttons Luna the pug x is here to work on some confidence building and managing her reactivity. She is an anxious girl but we have already seen so much confidence come out in her training in just 1 session! ... Nixon the lab pup is here for all typical things lab (if you know you know), primarily to work on his lead skills! And eggy the rescue terrier has joined us also to work on his lead pulling and reactivity! We have adored working with this lot already, not to mention all the other new comers this week! Keep an eye on our page for their progress

22.01.2022 We love how much your doggos LOVE these adventure days!! Going over the photos afterwards almosts gives me a good laugh Our thursday group have become such a close pack, always being so welcoming to new comers like Ragnar! Can’t wait for next week!

22.01.2022 Is your dog difficult to walk?? A message I tell all owners who need help with with walking their dogs on the first session is STOP WALKING AND START TRAINING! But i need to walk them to tire them out! I feel bad if they don’t get a full hours walk ... I hear this a lot and I understand, but letting your dog pull just to exhaust them will not help! Here is what I want you to do with your time: I have 1 hour with my dog... I am going to start with 10 minutes of training and make them use their mind. Then once I have more engagement on me, we will try walking PROPERLY - Do not let your dog walk poorly on the lead with you, this will make them regress in their training. Spending an hour or even half an hour training rather than walking will tire them out a lot more because they are using their mind and being mentally stimulated! HOW DO I SET UP A PLAN FOR THIS: - What are your goals? - What are your dogs major obstacles? - How far can you get from your home before your dog becomes difficult to walk? Maybe your goal will be - by the end of the week, i want to walk 3 houses down with no pulling. I will not let my dog walk poorly even if it means going up and down the street and practicing commands A lot of owners will jump the gun and expect their dog to walk past major obstacles with no problems. START SMALL, WORK ON THE BASICS, WORK IN THE SPACE BETWEEN WHERE YOUR DOG DOES SUPER WELL AND WHERE THEY START GETTING DISTRACTED, SET REALISTIC GOALS! Need help at setting up a plan? We offer a program that helps with this! Send us an email to find out more P.s. This photo of Banjo was too good not to post and he is a prime example of less walk more train = more enjoyable walking in the future when you put your mind to it!

22.01.2022 Miss Dakota getting in her pre-holiday walk & train. She was on her best behaviour today!

20.01.2022 Morning swims on our group adventure with Rufus and Humphrey today With the weather warming up, its important to keep your dogs cool and be able to identify signs of them overheating! If you are wondering if it is too hot to walk your dog, place your hand on the concrete for 5 seconds - if this is too hot for your hand, it is too hot to walk your dog!

He is only 9 weeks and already has begun our puppy program to get him set with some ground rules at home and giving him structure to make sure he grows up to be the bestest boy possible! We can’t wait to watch him grow from this tiny lil furball into a confident boy!

17.01.2022 Leo Update: Reactive to dogs and highly anxious in unfamiliar environments, Leo has progressed so well! If you saw our video of him from last week, you will see that in this video being only a week apart he has improved even more! Leo actually started off his session pretty rough, he was stressed from the smallest changes of routine - this day being both his owners coming to the session instead of one. It totally threw him out and it took us a while to calm him down. After h...is tantrum he ended up having the best session he has ever had! Don’t give up and keep trying! Dogs have bad days too but they need us to be leaders for them rather then give up. We are so proud of you Leo!

Or is puppy school too basic for your pup? We have got you covered with our 4 week puppy program! ... Congratulations on your new fur baby! We know how exciting this time can be for your family and we know how important this time is for your puppy’s development and growth! As a dog trainer, I am constantly seeing issues in dogs that could have been addressed in their early days as puppies! Its so important that you train your puppy according to their breed and other requirements to prevent any problems. Our program covers everything from obedience and lead training, impulse and focus training and socialisation. We also implements ways to stop separation anxiety and behavioural issues developing! We also cover any specific problem areas you may be experiencing. The next week months of your puppies life will be what shapes their personality and behaviour. 12.01.2022 Milo the GSP and Phoenix the kelpie x working on their loose lead walking today and Milo’s reactivity! Milo is a very anxious boy and easily startled. Today his mum told me that since our first session a few weeks ago, Milo has been a lot calmer which has allowed more of his personality to shine through. This made me remember why I do what I do and why I love my job so much! A big session for these 2 next week, being pushed out of their comfort zone. We can’t wait to see ...how they go! We offer group training sessions, so if you and your friend want to train together or if you have 2 or more dogs of your own, send us an email to find out our discounted prices for group sessions and how we can help!

12.01.2022 NEW SERVICE ALERT Group walks for reactive dogs are now available! Get your reactive dog working around others to desensitise them from distractions and teaching them how to remain calm around a group of dogs. Training a reactive dog is not just about the walking, it takes a lot of at home changes too, this is why these sessions are only for those who have already completed a program and are looking for next steps!... This also accommodates to those who also want their dogs to learn how to behave in a crazy environment. Send us a message to book now!!

11.01.2022 Lets talk muzzles! The only label you should get as an owner of a dog who needs to be muzzled is responsible! A lot of the dogs I work with who wear muzzles react out of fear, meaning most of these dogs actually have never attacked or bitten another dog or person before, but normally are quite anxious so come across as reactive. When dogs are in this anxious state, they may nip or show signs of aggression so we stay on the safe side and muzzle ... for your dogs safety!... As a side note - just because your dog is friendly, does not mean my dog is! Please be cautious and train your dogs to not run up to other dogs when off lead in an area they shouldnt be! This is very stressful for owners trying to train or walk their muzzled dog (or any dog in general). #muzzles #muzzleup

11.01.2022 Allie the GSD pup has done SO well in her kickstart program. Her transformation in only 3 sessions has been outstanding. Going from being highly reactive towards both people and dogs with me not even being able to go anywhere near her on our first session to her walking like a dream and not even acknowledging people or dogs when out and about! We are so happy with her and her owner’s commitment to training! From here Allie will be attending a socialisation session to learn ...how to properly great dogs and play safely. Happy Wednesday!

10.01.2022 Would you believe me if i told you that these guys came to us labelled ‘uncontrollable, highly reactive, disobedient, and some even very aggressive’? These dogs could not even get this close to other dogs without lunging barking and biting at them. NOW LOOK AT THEM! ... This was our first reactivity walk and we started in a small group as we anticipated a lot of growls, lunging and barking but these owners stepped up to the challenge and showed great control and leadership with their dogs and we had a very successful (NO REACTIVITY) session!! We are so stoked with how well this went and can’t wait for our next one! These dogs are proof that your dog only does what you enable them to do. In an environment like this working so close to other dogs and people, the owners set their dogs up for success and success is exactly what they got! So proud of you guys

10.01.2022 Jimbob enjoying her walk and train today, she is always on her best behaviour when she knows its time to get to business! We have been working on her loose lead walking and dog reactivity. Swipe to see her happy face

09.01.2022 Meet Kruger! This Dalmation x Bull Arab has been training with me the past few weeks to work on his reactivity and hyperactivity. Today he did so well training with Sadie. He was able to maintain focus and pay attention to all commands while having her running around him as a distraction. This is a huge step for Kruger! He even spent some time working on his socialisation and was such a good boy playing nicely with Sadie, as he can sometimes be a bit much for other dogs!... Great work, Kruger !

09.01.2022 Meet Marty! Our first pup to join our pup program in 2021! Although he may be small, his confidence and personality are HUGE! He is such a pleasure to work with

09.01.2022 12 week old Zorro the Husky pup started with us today, joining our puppy program! We are so excited to watch him learn and grow

09.01.2022 Finn, the anxious cavoodle. If your dog has anxiety or experiences stress in new environments, we are here to help! When Finn first saw me, his anxiety was easily disguised by hyperactivity. He had a constant need to bark, pant, pace and pull on the lead. Cars easily triggered him and his owner did not feel comfortable taking him to busy places because of his constant barking and lead pulling. ... Dogs with anxiety need something to do, they need a ‘job’. For Finn, his job is his training, it keeps his mind occupied and keeps him thinking about what I’m going to ask him to do next rather than whats going on around him. My last session with Finn was difficult, his stress in a public place was way too high and he was pulling to the point he would choke himself. I am so happy with his session today! With the proper structure, he was able to: Stop pulling on the lead Engage with me more, checking in and looking at me Maintain a calm composure and even a down stay next to a busy road Enjoy his walk! Rather than trying to escape and run away, he was walking calmly with no panting or stress. He was able to match pace with me, rather than me matching pace with him and walk slowly Work around distractions and listen to all commands Listen to my commands to calm down when feeling overwhelmed Have trust in me as his trainer We are super proud of his progress today! Its crazy how some little tweaks to a dogs life can go such a long way!

08.01.2022 @diesel.gshepherd proofing his Place/Break command after training with Paige! Diesel was here for our kick starter program as he’s not good with new people. He normally barks and nips at people and really doesn’t know how to interact with them. It previously took a different trainer 4 sessions to be able to approach Diesel but Paige was able to crack him day one after doing some drills to get to know each other, and safe to say they have been best mates since! ... We absolutely love seeing you guys practicing your training! Now with his new place command, guests can comfortably enter Diesels home without being bombarded by the big GSD!

08.01.2022 Sassy Nala joined us last week for a touch up on her obedience. Being a border collie, she is smart and knows how to get away with being naughty. Our goals with Nala are to improve her recall around distractions and break through her stubbornness so she is more manageable and obedient, inside the home and out. ... She tested us at her first session, stubborn to cooperate but with some hard work and lots of it, we can see Nala improving tremendously!

08.01.2022 Great session with Mr Leo today wearing our blue safety clip in the larger size! Leo did extremely well in his 1 on 1 session today working through his anxiety and reactivity 1 on 1 session allow us to see in more depth behavioural issues. Leo is a bit protective and a big sook when his owners come to sessions, seeing him individually today allowed me to see some of his core triggers and work out things he needs to work on more!

08.01.2022 Meet Rip! The newest member of our puppy program For 9 weeks old he is incredibly smart and powered through his first session like a pro, picking up wll nee commands with ease

08.01.2022 We have adored working with Mila through her lead reactivity and watching her progress so well over the past 5 weeks! No more pulling on the lead and less reactivity has made her walks much more enjoyable for her and her owners! Mila was also a little aggressive towards other dogs, mainly on the lead so having her learn to work with miss Sadie and even walk right besides her and have a play was great to see! We can’t wait to see you again Mila for a play date

To fully perfect his reactivity while walking on lead will take some more time, he is definitely getting there though!! We are glad we have been able to be watch him on this journey.... Today marked the completion of his 5 week program but he will be joining our adventure pups next week! We love you Kruger!

06.01.2022 This weather calls for a river day!! This bunch had such a great time this morning running around and burning some energy! These days are also great if your dog is a little shy, it can help bring them out of their shell and teach t how to be confident and play properly! ... We are excited to go back to the river on Thursday with another group! If you’re interested in signing your dog up for a river day, they first will have to do an assessment to make sure they are a good fit into the group! Send us a message to find out more

Apart of most of our programs, we include teaching your dog how to greet other dogs correctly and also provide a safe and controlled environment for unsocialised dogs to be introduced to training and playing with other dogs. We had a lot of social sessions this week with the help of Miss Sadie! ... Social sessions include working on your dogs impulse control and include distraction training to ensure that our dogs are always obedient no matter what obstacles they may face when out and about. Its also important that as owners we are able to control our dogs play time and slow it down if things are getting a bit much! Through working on her impulse control and overall focus and giving her more structure in her day to day life, we aim to make her a lot more manageable for her owners and turn her into a dog that they can take anywhere!

01.01.2022 2021 is going to be an exciting year! We want to offer our services to more of you guys meaning we have expanded our service area for those who may need some at home training! We still want to stick to conducting majority of sessions close to our home base in Penrith as we know some great areas to train! We understand that for some dogs being highly anxious or hard to control, setting the ground rules can be best taught in a home environment so we are trying our best to accom...odate for everyone. But how can we do this? ... I think we may need to get some more staff on board (hint hint) Keep an eye out for some more surprises coming in 2021!
