25.01.2022 Daisy and Rigsby have been visiting St John of God Bunbury Hospital for quite some time now and are the Pallative Paws bringing unconditional love to the palliative care patients. Check out this wonderful video that was made of them

24.01.2022 We are devastated to see our beautiful country in a crisis such as this. Animal Companions are getting behind our fellow Australians by supporting those affected by the bushfires on the east coast. We have donated $500 to RSPCA Victoria and RSPCA New South Wales. We hope this small contribution can assist making the lives of our furry, feathery or scaly friends a little easier Please stay safe everyone.

23.01.2022 We’ve been walking with a bit more swagger lately because we’ve got ourselves these super cool new Animal Companion bandana’s or ‘dogdanas’ as we like to call them! One of our very talented members was commissioned to make these for us and she has done a wonderful job. Its perfect for our visiting teams as it helps to identify them whilst still providing as much premium pat space as possible for residents. The dogdanas are modelled by Chief and Charlie

22.01.2022 Every dog wants to sniff, they enjoy exploring the world through the use of their nose because their sense of smell is so powerful. It's important to let your dog to sniff but there also needs to be a balance so try teaching them commands such as "go sniff" that allow them to sniff away and "let's go" to continue on with your walk. Its a happy compromise and it won't take you a million years to get where you need to go. Happy weekend walkies everyone!

21.01.2022 Our volunteers have been getting festive and spreading a lot of Christmas cheer across our facilities in both metro and regional WA. With Christmas just around the corner, we’d like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year. What do you think Andy here is thinking? Comment below

19.01.2022 We've been saying that patting a dog reduces stress for a while but now there is proof!

18.01.2022 An aged care home where pets are welcome.

17.01.2022 A big shout out to one of wonderful volunteers Frankenstein who is going to be taking a break from visiting due to the impending arrival of a little brother or sister (of the human variety). Not surprisingly, he will be missed by Armadale Memorial Hospital who recently gave him and his owner Sarah a very Rock Star=esque send off! Good luck and see you both soon + 1

17.01.2022 We had a very busy weekend with some of our amazing volunteers flying the animal therapy flag at the Giovanni Consort event, Rejoice of the Lamb concert and the SES Special Children's Christmas Party! Great job teams!

16.01.2022 Come on down and meet some of our furry little therapists :)

11.01.2022 We are all dog people here so there is no denying that many of us have picked up the pace so we could catch up to say hello to the dog in front of us We know you've done it too! : RSPCA WA

11.01.2022 We've heard of horses visiting nursing homes but alpacas is definitely a new one!

08.01.2022 Are we right or are we right?! When we visit our facilities we often bring treats with us that are both human and dog friendly just in case any of the residents attempt to have an 'afternoon snack'. When that happens, the look on our pooches faces looks something like this

08.01.2022 The coronavirus outbreak sweeping the globe is unlike anything we’ve seen or faced before. Businesses are closing, planes are grounded, our borders have been slammed shut and our beloved facilities that we visit have gone into lockdown. As we isolate but not abandon our teams are being proactive to still bring a little joy to the residents that we usually visit....

07.01.2022 This doctor knows what he’s talking about!

07.01.2022 At EMHS we are committed to high quality care and delivering what matters most to our patients, and sometimes that’s a visit from a pet therapy dog. Patients, v...isitors and staff on Bentley Hospital’s Ward 4 enjoyed some one-on-one time with the lovely Sarbi and her owner Linda today, who both volunteer with Animal Companions Inc Everyone’s spirits were lifted by Sarbi’s sweet and friendly nature and her pink bow! Thank you Sarbi, Linda and all the Animal Companions volunteers for taking the time to visit our patients, and brighten their day.

05.01.2022 And this is why we do what we do

03.01.2022 This cat seems to be a natural!

03.01.2022 Toddlers unite! An Early Childhood Festival (aka: Toddlerfest!) is currently on at Scitech and a few of our furry heros are making a special guest appearance throughout the week to share the excellent work that they do. Bruce and Muska have already popped in this week and both did an amazing job. We are so proud of these two . Toddlerfest is running daily from 10am - 2pm from 27th July to 4th August so be sure to check it out!

02.01.2022 Did you know that German Shepherds are the 3rd smartest dog?! Because of that, they are often used within the military and police force but there are others like Chicka and Jess here who are making contributions in their own way as fantastic therapy dogs. I mean, will you look at Jess' beautiful face, how could you not want to cuddle this gorgeous fluffball

02.01.2022 Even our most well behaved dogs like to push the boundaries sometimes but this guy takes the cake! How has your dog outsmarted you?
