08.01.2022 How can you tell when a state Government doesn’t give a crap about animal cruelty? Look at these numbers. The max fine for an act of animal cruelty in NSW is j...ust $5500. In VIC it is nearly $40K. Lenient 'slap on the wrist' fines do nothing to deter animal abuse and fall well short of community expectations. NSW’s Minister for Agriculture Adam Marshall MP is failing animals. Marshall- we won’t wait for your 2-4 year ‘Action Plan’ review - tougher penalties for animal cruelty are urgently needed now.
