23.01.2022 Last night our house caught fire and my partner tried getting all the animals out but couldn’t find our cat Marie so he left the back door open so she could get... out, the house is completely destroyed we have been calling and looking for her all day but we can’t find her. She is a rescue cat and an indoor only cat, we are really worried about that she may be hurt or have soot or smoke inhalation damage. If anyone sees her please try to get her or if she’s too scared please call or text 0439807999 or 0429884817 We are staying at 9 Letcher street Kadina, 5554

19.01.2022 This diver caught an adorable moment on video when a wild grey seal swam up and hugged him underwater. Ben Burville says he has been scuba diving in that area of the North Sea for nearly 20 years, and has become very familiar with the local seals as a result.

11.01.2022 I am an Animal Rescuer/Carer. So many times people say to me how wonderful that is, how they would like to do that. Most of us ‘rescuers’ do not ‘choose’ to do ...the work we do. Most of us would love an ideal world where animals all species did not need rescuing. But sadly our world is not ideal. Often we are faced with cruelty, with animals suffering and we are left with horrible choices We do not ‘like’ the role we are forced to play. Why then do we do it ? The simple answer is: We cannot turn a blind eye, we cannot turn away. We feel the animal’s suffering, their pain, their loss. We hear them. We hear and see their plea for help. There is nothing glamorous in the role of travelling the km’s all hours of the day and night. There is nothing joyous in seeing a twisted body and the suffering inflicted on an animal. The sleepless nights, the feeding throughout the night, the vet visits, the time and money spent we do it because we cannot NOT do it. Yesterday a little joey with both legs smashed was brought to me. He was the thinnest saddest little boy he will never know the joy of jumping and playing. He will never grow to adult. I ended his life to stop his suffering. Thank you to the lady who called this little boy in. Thank you to the networking of groups to relay the call. Some days are harder than others some days we wish we could shut our eyes and walk on by. Our joyous moments of saving one are punctuated by those of much sadness and loss. So please stop, render assistance, make the call. Have empathy and compassion. We all breathe, we all feel pain and fear and suffering. A life is a life whatever form it takes. No less important the species that spark is in no less a miracle. All life is precious. Animal Rescue and Care 88922279 0408922290 See more
