20.01.2022 Brian Smart at Smart Bowen Therapy, Book and Video Package for the Practioner .

20.01.2022 Off to the Soroptimist's High Tea fundraising event tomorrow at Peel Manor House in Mandurah. I was delighted to have been invited to display my artwork at their event, and in prepartion for this, have been madly painting for the past month I am donating some artpieces to their raffle and auction, so tried my hand at some flowers being a bit more generic for the lucky winners. In additon to a post of some artwork pieces last week, I have these pieces to for sale as well.... Emu is a small block canvas painted in acrylics, the rest are watercolor. The bulldog did not scan in as clean as I would have liked, but too busy to redo, in the real he is gorgeous. One has already sold, the two pink and greys on the branch, the owner agreed to let me have this as a display piece and will receive on Monday If you would like to enquire about one of the pictured artworks, or would like a commission painted, please PM me. ENJOY!

18.01.2022 This beautiful girl is off to the U.S. as a present for her person from relatives here in Australia. Sasha is a gorgeous girl with a very cheeky toothy grin wh...ich was in the brief to capture in the painting, and certainly brings to mind the saying 'blondes have more fun' Happy client....and as always it was a delight to paint someones beautiful furbie friend and companion for lasting memories 8 x 10 Acrylic Canvas Block. 18.01.2022 Missed the right light for a good camera shot and will need to redo the photo tomorrow. Just had to share my joy of painting the handsome and lovely young "Rex" Acrylic on a 6" x 6" canvas block. In the mail to his mum tomorrow in time for christmas Enjoy Ingrid

17.01.2022 Can now share as my long time beautiful friend Careth Michelle has received her xmas presentt Thank you gorgeous lady for being my guiding light all these years! Red Robins painted in watercolor.

17.01.2022 Shoulder movement in slow motion. See how far the shoulder moves back, and where the tissue hits my leg. A VERY common area for restriction. Now imagine a saddle strapped on top of that.

16.01.2022 So pleased to have these beautiful boys finished and ready to go to their devoted person. The spunky boy in black is Traka, then there's Cade with the eyes that hold your own with their intensity and Talo, whos lovely soft energy wraps around you. Cade and Talo have crossed the rainbow bridge, their beautiful energies came through though whilst I painted each one. Traka is an active service dog for search and rescue and both Cade and Talo did similar in their time. Love them all and feeling very blessed and honoured to have been asked to paint them for their person. Thank you Michael for trusting me with your boys

15.01.2022 Set up at the Soroptimists High Tea Fundraiser

15.01.2022 A while ago now I posted up a picture of 'blue eyes' and said ‘watch this space ‘, as I had a little project on the go Well I can now share my little project ...as I have almost finished the art pieces, barring 1 on the art table to complete today/tomorrow...... I just couldn’t wait a moment longer to show and tell I think this is a really cool way of having your beloved furbies created into a one off orginal art piece, and it could be that your animal companion is a dog, cat, rabbit, horse or anything in between with fur, feathers, hair and scales.. These have all been painted on small canvas blocks that were designed to either sit on your desk at work or home, on your bookshelf, bedside table.... or they can still be mounted on the wall. I share again the one of the gorgeous Scotty who's lovely person Amy O'Neill let me paint him to use as one of my examples And here is a thought.what about you guys who are into ‘Totem Animals’..animals guides! They make wonderful gifts for Christmas or Birthdays or a keepsake of those who have crossed the rainbow bridge being small, lightweight and robust they are easily posted & packed into luggage. These have all been painted with archival quality acrylics and properly sealed to keep them looking great. Each one is an original and signed/dated. I am looking at making prints and cards for sale as well. And to show some versatility with styles, there are two pictured here of my mother’s cat (Abby a beautiful Ragdoll, don’t you just LUV their blue eyes!), painted in realism and the other with a bit of caricature. Abby was actually my first of this little project I did, and that was the caricature of her, which I wanted to give to my mum, but a friend of hers who loves Abby, bought it straight away.so I repainted her differently for my mum and it set the scene for variety of approaches. And then came the two grey cats, I called them Cheeky Cat as he is laying upside down (see how his paws go over the canvas) and the other is Fat Cat.I wonder why? I could have easily got stuck on the cat theme I love Australian native fauna/flora and will be expanding these out to include a range of favourites that would make great gifts as well. The blocks come in varied sizes and some examples are: 6 x 6, 6 x 8, 6 x 12, 5 x 5 (so cute), 8 x 8 and a host of others, the idea is to keep them small and affordable despite the hours and hours of painting each one takes to complete If you would like one painted for yourself or someone else, touch base with me via messenger there is still time to order one for Christmas! FOR SALE NOW - The Gorilla, Pink & Greys, Fat Cat & Cheeky Cat and the Owls. Interested PM me. ENJOY

14.01.2022 So blessed to have the support, encouragement, input and critique of each piece of my venture from the start to now from my awesome husband..Brian.

13.01.2022 Hi folks - apologies up front for the long post, bare with me, as I am excited to share another 'tree of life' painting done for my beautiful friend 'Emma Kidd' who won't mind me mentioning her name here. These inspired paintings come together by pure chance, I never draw them out on the canvas, they just form from thoughts that come into my head then transpose on the canvas..... I absolutely love love, love doing them, as I know they come from a greater source then I and...Continue reading

11.01.2022 A while ago, I showed you guys my own 'tree of life' and the concept to paint this was directed by guidance. Today I had a wonderful morning catchup with a bea...utiful long time friend. Her darling husband commissioned me a couple of months ago to paint a 'tree of life' for his darling heart Careth nee Careth Michelle after she had seen mine and kept on talking about it....so hubby Noel cottoned on to an idea and asked if I could paint one for Care.....and of course I said yes. My darling, gorgeous friend 'Care' you are one steadfast chicky who never faulters on the contract as 'friend'....I am sure you had a hand in writing the book of what a good friend is.... you are too me 'a one in a million friend' whom I love to the moon and back....so it was not just a privilege but an absolute honour to be able to put paint to canvas and create for you, your own very special 'tree of life'. When I paint these 'tree of life' creations, they are a representation of that persons 'loves' in life, animal friends/totem animals, spirits, guides, angels and other magical beings/elementals and moments that have special meaning to that person. This 'tree of life' started with a background sunrise sky are the rest. The tree is the main feature depicting our connection to mother earth, roots, growth and life. Always a heart - to remind us to 'love' and embrace loving thoughts and feelings towards ourselves and others. Always a litte door 'down the rabbit hole' into the world below where magic occurs and connection to our animal spirits for guidance. The background scene - sky and landscape are created from what makes your heart sing this is a very personal choice and I love the way they take shape and form as I literally just start with an idea then let guidance direct the brush from there as the thoughts/visions come to mind. I have another 'tree of life' on the easel at the moment for someone special...really looking forward to being able to reveal this one too... as you will get to see they are all very personal. Enjoy, stay cool, stay safe

09.01.2022 Having loads of fun painting these colourful acrylic canvas blocks, several outlets here in my locality of Mandurah have shown interest to stock, so in keeping ...with the coastal vibe, I have done a range of local and southwest birdlife, some sea mammals whales & dolphins along with some other animals just for fun, all of which will keep me busy for the next few weeks for sure pumping these babies out for starters They make gorgeous gifts for a friend or xmas yep xmas!!! which is just around the corner and being lightweight that takes care of easy posting. They can be hung on the wall or will free standing on a shelf. As I complete them, I will post them up, should one leap out and say 'buy me' go for it This lot will range in price from $55 to $35 - postage additional. If you would like something different PM me and we can have a chat about it. I do petportraits as well on these canvas blocks and larger canvases as well. These also make wonderful gifts to loved ones, who wouldn't like their beloved animal companion be that dog, cat, horse or other animal painted as a permanent keepsake. Prices will vary depending on size and due to the detail, I put a LOT of detail into them, they do cost more OK Price on request. Have put a few pics of some previously done animal portratis up here as well. Stay tuned #petportraitcommission #art #artist #pet #dog #horse #cat #bird #endangeredspecies #wildlife

08.01.2022 PRODUCT PROMOTION - Congratulations Sue Poole on another wonderful product! I have known Sue Poole for so...me time and her developement of the Red Light Therapy products have been invaluable in my home and clinical practice, that I just wanted to share her latest developement with my friends, family, students, fellow therapists and colleagues, as I could not imagine not having this wonderful tool in my kit as a therapist. Many of you have already been introduced to Sue and Red Light Therapy by me over the years through our college - Smart Bowen Therapy International College and have gone on to incorporate the use of Red Light in practice or for personal use. I have been using the Red Light Therapy products in my clinic and for my own personal use and that of my own companion animals for years, with excellent results. It was Sue's first therapy wrap that made the biggest difference to a full thickness achilles tendon strain on the point of rupture that I had 4 years ago for 2 months, that was not responding as well as it should have to other well chosen natural therapies despite their known effectiveness. Once I started using the wrap for 20 minutes twice a day applications, then the healing really kicked off. In 2015 after a full knee replacement, again the wraps came into their own after some complications from surgery. I would place two wraps in use, one on the front of my knee and one the back, again 20 minutes of use, twice a day, sometime 3 times a day as it felt so good! In clinical practice with animals, you can place them pretty much anywhere, sometimes we have to be a little inventive, but it is worth it! The animals respond so well to them and can even be used on open wounds for accelerated healing providing a thin barrier of material (not black as the light won't penetrate through black) is over the wound when the wraps are resting on top of the injury sight for hygene mostly. Or use the Red Light Torch, I only ever recommend the brand she promotes as they are durable and reliable, easy to hold and carry. There is a great range of Red Light Therapy devices to suit most people's budget, so have a look for yourselves, here's the FB link. https://www.facebook.com/redlighttherapykits/ See more

07.01.2022 Finished - Tree of Life Have thoughly enjoyed painting this tree of life for myself as I embrace a wonderful new phase of my own life. The mood and colours... of this painting change with the light which makes it quite hard to capture the true colours with the camera. Here are are a few photos to give an overview of the colours and detail. What does not show up so well is the sparkly luminous paint used on the fairy and light beam, the crystals, as well as throughout the painting to bring forth light reflections and capture the essence of magic...oh well, mine to enjoy in its completeness Last post I did on this painting it was not quite finished, had one more animal guide to paint in being the eagle/hawk. Looking forward to hanging this today. Enjoy your weekend folks

06.01.2022 I wanted to share with you all a little project I have been doing that guidance planted the seed to, some weeks back, as I enter into the final 20 weeks of a ps...ychic/mediumship program with Lisa Williams and my beautiful friend & mentor Careth Clift who has guided me for 25 odd years. I have a few more things to paint into this picture, just wanted to share the journey with you too date. In a few weeks when I come out the other side of the training and the painting is complete I will share it again This is an acrylic painting on stretched canvas 1.2 metres high by 76cm wide. During the psychic/mediumship course we have been encouraged to get playful, in touch with our past and work with the plethora of spirit family, guides, animal guides, Source and more who are there for us on this human journey of life and learning. None of this is new to me, for I have been following this way of life for many, many years, yet life has a habit of taking over sometimes and our ship can get steered off course a little or a lot. In a desire to fully embrace my spiritual self, I decided to take the necessary steps to get back on my true life path. At the same time I have also been studying in more detail - Shamanic healing and journeying having worked with horses/animals in this field I plan to pursue more of this too. I began to envision a painting 'MY TREE OF LIFE' that could sit in my sacred place where I meditate, do animal / people readings/healings and more and immerse myself in the new and joyful directions my life has been taking this year in particular. A painting that reperesented me, one that I could look into and see my past/present and future in a magical world where everything is possible. The wolf, horse and black cockatoo represent my animal spirit guides who I work with. The heart represents the place from where I work from with my spirit family and Source in readings and healings and reminds me to always be open and loving to all beings in life including myself. The tree is located in a magical forest of mossy rocks, it is old and knarled and has lived a long life and holds infinite wisdom and welcomes me to take shamanic journeys into her roots to earth mother below to meet with my guides, or sit at her base and work in the middle world, or climb her limbs and work in the higher world. The fairy ring and fairy remind me that I am not alone and that life is a magikal place inhabited by elementals, sprites, elves, fairies and to see them as I did as a child and that everything in nature is there to provide wisdom should I seek it and that inside each of us is an inner child that stays light, young and free no matter how many phsycial lessons, layers and years one has lived. The sun, crystals and rocks represent along with the tree and plants that nature provides other elementals of higher consciousness that we can work with to make this world a better place. I have had so much enjoyment creating this painting, that I am open to doing them for others, so should anyone like to enquire into having their own done, please contact me via messenger for more details. BLESSINGS & LOVE

05.01.2022 So delighted to be asked to display my works of art at the Soroptimist High Tea Fundraiser on Sunday at Peel Manor House. A pleasure to be able to donate one of my paintings for the event and look forward to meeting the fortunate recipient!

05.01.2022 Every time I get asked to paint someones lovely, it is always an honour and privilege to do so. This beautiful girl is Molly, she had puppies pre - Christmas and they were only 2 weeks old when she was bitten by a snake and sadly did not make it. Her people, especially her mum were devasted naturally. Another family asked if I could paint Molly as a gift for her mum who missed her dearly, and today the painting arrived and was received with lots of happy tears.... The rainbow side to this story is that one of Molly's pups that was previously spoken for prior to Molly passing was able to be retained and so this gorgeous girls memory and essence will live on in her own baby. Acrylic on Canvas Block 8 x 10"

04.01.2022 Yarraman was a magnificent horse that came into my life in my late 30's, sadly he was not to stay long and crossed the rainbow bridge. He was really special, y...ou see, as a young girl 6 or 7 yrs, guidance told me I would acquire a buckskin horse called Yarraman. In the short time I had him, he taught me so much, that unbeknown to me at the time, would set my future path in the healing arts as a teacher/ therapist in Bowen and more. And in honour of Yarraman, I vowed to name the first property (acreage that is) we acquired...after him. Some 20 years later that dream came true and it just goes to show.....sometimes you just have to be patient! Yarraman is aboriginal for 'horse' I really enjoyed this project, from sourcing the jarrah slab (from a part aborginal man in Greenbushes), to designing and finally painting this sign myself, now to see it up in it's final resting place, the 'spirit' of Yarraman is home.
