24.01.2022 Hi guys, trust you had a enjoyable Christmas and New Year with family and friends and too all of you, I wish 2021 to be filled with love, happiness and abundan...ce Keeping a low profile over the xmas break did not mean I put down the paint and palette, as another Tree of Life painting rolled off the easel Taken with my phone just now, so the colours are not as vibrant as they could be, but wanted to share before I send it off to be professionally photographed for my website www.animalspiritartbyleasmart.com.au There was a lot going on in this one! Painted for my gorgeous cousin, her 5 cats take centre stage and I didn't have to look far for inspiration for the grey cats pose.....what a hoot (see second picture) precious furbie AND a teaser as to whats on the easel now.....horses, here's a sneek peak at two started, not finished, both will be for sale and prints will be available when completed. Enjoy!

22.01.2022 WORKS IN PROGRESS Earlier this month I had to have a much overdue operation on an old fracture/tendon/nerve injury in my right wrist, which meant no paintin...g for at least 4 weeks it was a struggle! Yeh out of the cast now and in a brace that means I can, with care, get back into the artwork Have been wanting to paint some birds for a while and love, love, love galahs, so started with the Major Mitchells last week. Decided to do the background in acrylic inks, OMG I am in love with this medium, so easy to use with endless diversity, they are going to be a fave for sure. The galahas themselves are painted in acrylics. I have another project on the go that was started before I had the op, this one is in oils, still a lot to do, should look good though once all the sea elements are in place. This photo looks a bit dull, the colours are much brighter in real life. Will keep you updated on their progress Have a wonderful Easter enjoy your break, stay safe on the roads
