20.01.2022 Got a horse not seeming how they should? A misbehaved horse is not a "naughty" horse, generally they are trying to express to you you something is wrong within themselves be it pain, trauma or miscommunication. Bowen therapy can help with the above by physically treating and aligning skeletal and muscular system (musculoskeletal), tendons and ligaments along with autonomic nervous system incase they have had a mental trauma recent or in the past that they still require healing from. Book in to help your horse out. I don't just treat English eventers, I treat liberty horses, western, pleasure and plod alongs along with the foals and the olds

20.01.2022 An uneven rider makes an uneven horse. This is why I stand out in a crowd as I treat not only the horses but I am also a human therapist so that I can treat the rider too If the rider is uneven and I only treat the horse, the rider will make the horse become asymmetric in less than a month.... Message our page to Book yourself and your horse in

18.01.2022 Sometimes I am absolutely buggered after a full days work and I go to my horses, have a smooch then throw the halter on and ride out bareback and just listen to their hooves and the birds in the trees How do you unwind with your four legged?

14.01.2022 Who else runs to their horse or pet when the going gets tough

12.01.2022 Morning everyone, I have shared a go fund me page below for Jess and her family who are devoted in the equestrian industry through education and physical therapy in Perth who has lost everything including their home, from the Perth fires over the last few days. Jess luckily managed to evacuate her horses and pets in the nick of time. Jess kindly managed to help other properties under threat move horses to safety leaving her with no time to run inside and get her own personal... belongings. You may have even seen her on the news this morning! My heartbreaks for everyone in Perth, the last two years now going onto three has been very tough for all of us here in Aus with the fires, All very close to home for alot of us. Please donate if you can. I can vouch and say this is a legit go fund me page :) https://gofund.me/74e1a1a6

12.01.2022 When your business partner goes a bit hard on his day off and can't wake up for work today Brocky was out sniffing good butts, making friends with humans and his own, using my paddle board as his island down at a local lake and throwing me off, hosing his two horses down, then having a shower him self, now he is exhausted for work today!

11.01.2022 Huge shout out to everyone for getting your horses treated as we are going back to normality! Another huge shout out to the riders who jump on their horses and can see or feel there is something not quite right with their horse and rather than riding them through it, they are getting the issue treated Times are changing and we are more aware of our horses than ever before... It's great to see so many of you are in tune with your horses #keeplistening

11.01.2022 Lady excited for the weekend now that she is pain free from her two treatments for stifle lock! Yippeee!!

10.01.2022 Jirrah was an uncomfortable horse who didnt want to move far throughout assessment. Straight after treatment Jirrah stretched out to urinate with no struggle then went on to do a trot on his own accord!! The trot wasn't brilliant and partially lame but the fact he felt well enough to trot moments after is fantastic!! To hear he cantered on his own the next day is music to my ears Another horse on the road to recovery

03.01.2022 Very disappointed- just had to euthanize a wonderful 4 year old mare. A second colic surgery in 3 days, and we euthanized her on the surgery table because her ...prognosis was poor. Her small intestine was full of these large ascarid worms, despite her being on an aggressive worming program including frequent ivermectin. The worms likely played a role in her very severe intestinal disease and made treatment harder. Resistance to our common dewormers is a growing problem. ** UNFORTUNATELY, HERBAL WORMERS ARE LIKELY NOT HELPFUL. TALK TO YOUR VET ABOUT USING FECAL EGG COUNTS TO CUSTOMIZE YOUR DEWORMING. Here is an article I wrote for The Horse Magazine a few years ago. It is also part of Horse Side Vet Guide. https://thehorse.com/149350/worms-vs-drugs-the-fundamentals

01.01.2022 I have really sore traps and shoulders from stress, I have a crunchy neck from falls, My hands and wrist are sore from my profession but you can't see all this ...pain, and I can't see your bad neck, sore knees, tennis elbow ect. Just because YOU can not see any physical injury or unsoundness to your horse or animals, does not mean that your horse is necessarily comfortable. Pain is shown more often than not in behaviour, a few signs to look out for is, Not wanting to be caught, Shying away, Biting, Ears back, Anxiety, Bucking, rearing, throwing head, Not liking areas being touched. Girthing up Ect. I hear and see so many people looking for feeds for nervous horses or saying "oh they are just head shy or saddle shy" "it's just arthritis" "the horse is just a grumpy horse" "my horse hates jumping" "my horse hates dressage and can not engage or make contact but loves jumping" "we will retire the horse at 10years old because he is crazy under saddle" "this rescue horse we rescued will now retire as he has this and that pain going on" " hates being brushed in this area" the list can go on! Don't make excuses for the horses behaviour, or try and mask the pain with retirement ect. You need to address the problem and get to the bottom of it professionally, not from you paddock friend, or Facebook ect. From some one who has studied the field and is qualified in that profession. It is not fair to speak over an animals communication and opt for the easy way out, As a human, we are lucky to be able to rub down our sore spots, or seek help if we wake up stiff and sore, heck we are even lucky enough to say "I need to take it easy today" your animal does not have that luxury, we need to maintain their body and remember, just because we can't see pain in them, doesn't mean there is no pain
