23.01.2022 Thumper I had the best time meeting thumper today! This little guy is a Eastern Grey Joey that is missing part of his hindleg. He has adapted to so well to hopping on one leg and using his tail for balance. He is developing sores on his stump so we are making a protective socket to provide protection when he is out and about. 22.01.2022 Well done James!! PUG RESCUE & ADOPTION VICTORIA INC. Repost @pugrescuevic with @get_repost ... Look at me! And look what’s on my knee! I went for a long drive back up to Shepparton yesterday.... To visit specialist @animal.tech Prosthetist/Othotist Elizabeth as she had finished custom making my knee brace yay! Elizabeth fitted my brace and trimmed it a little bit... So it’s a perfect fit.... Everyone hopes my special brace will help my weakest leg not buckle as much and instead stay straight... Which will hopefully help my knee cap stay in place... Which in turn will help my strongest legs knee cap also stay in place which will be ace... With both my knee caps in the right position and my legs not collapsing my standing and walking gait... Should greatly improved... And my muscles will become stronger and less damage will be done to my joints and little body every time I move... I have to now practice getting used to wearing my brace and standing and walking in a very different but so much better way... Thanks Elizabeth from Animal Tech for making my very special brace & for seeing me yesterday.... My brace has a pattern of coloured doggy paws... As I am so very grateful that Pug Rescue & all of my online friends help keep me walking on my four... James xxx James is a Pug Rescue very special needs foster boy with hemivertebrae, 90 degree kyphosis, 20 degree scoliosis, he’s undergone spinal fusion T6-T9, requires daily cortisone for his paralysis and is currently being treated for demodex. He has luxating patellas which we hope will be improved/corrected with the help of his brace. He’s a year old and only a very tiny 4.5kg boy who thinks he’s the boss. Thanks to the online pug loving community Pug Rescue is able to provide James the daily care he needs to live a happy & enriched life. #pug #brace #prosthetics

20.01.2022 Daisy is a champ! She has been super with wearing her right stifle brace and now is showing off how well she can walk with her new left stifle brace! Daisy has been using her right stifle brace for over a year to manage her cruciate injury. Unfortunately she recently injured the left cruciate of which can commonly occur. Daisy will wear the new brace majority of the time to reduce her pain and will use her much loved right brace when needed for walks. #animalorthotics #stiflebrace #dogbrace #dogkneebrace #cruciateligament #dogorthotics
