24.01.2022 The ALC is seeking an Arts Centre Coordinator to join our team in a full time role, commencing in February 2021. The Arts Program is funded by the Anindilyakwa Land Council to support local Anindilyakwa artists to promote and sell their artwork. This position will focus on working with artists and staff to build on the past achievements of high quality artistic and cultural programs that promote the Anindilyakwa culture. The Art Centre Coordinator is responsible for managin...g a diverse and specialist team of Indigenous and non-Indigenous staff and artists dedicated to keeping the Anindilyakwa culture strong. In the pursuit of actively protecting, maintaining and promoting the Anindilyakwa culture the Coordinator is responsible for the efficient management of all Art Centre staff and program areas including a gallery, digital media platforms and aspects of cultural heritage. Anindilyakwa Arts is a highly respected Art Centre that maintains relationships with commercial galleries, public institutions and high end stockists across Australia, and it currently supports artists in a range of international and national contemporary endeavours. Anindilyakwa Arts has an architecturally designed gallery in the township of Alyangula & art centres in Angurugu, Umbakumba and Milyakburra. The Arts Program values are: team work, country support, learning/listening, respect, honesty, fun and happiness, culture, health creativity, communication, inclusive/ one people. These meditations can be useful to provide people with a chance to take time out, use breathing exercises, and practice mindfulness in this potentially stressful time.
