25.01.2022 { W E D D I N G S } | & | The first time Kirra-megan & Liam met was when they were 12 years old at the Mt Isa Bowling Alley. It was love at first sight for Kirra - seeing a young Liam wearing a beanie. Starting their relationship with a wonderful friendship is one of the many secrets to a long & lasting lifetime together. And may I add, any girl that watches a teenage boy go through adolescence & still finds herself in love - he must be the one - r...ight!? haha Fast forward to 2017, it was Triple J Hottest 100 countdown. Liam waited until the #1 song was announced - 'Humble' by Kendrick Lamar, then he got down on one knee to a very drunk Kirra. She cried for atleast 45min at this point, asking if he was serious! At the start of this year, Liam & Kirra's wishes finally came true... They were going to be parents. Something they had been wanting & wishing for 2 years now. This brings us to yesterday, the 31st of October 2020. The forecast was definitely a little concerning leading up to this day - But it seems I had nothing to worry about... Their day was one of the most heartfelt, family orientated Weddings I have ever been apart of. With a large thunder storm off in the distance, it provided the most stunning backdrop at Kirra's Mum & Dads Property south of Gin Gin. CELEBRANT: Diane Donnarumma, Marriage Celebrant for Everyone. 19.01.2022 Update - Dates now booked LIMITED DATES LEFT FOR EARLY 2021 I have just 2 weekends left in March & April 2021 & then I am solidly booked until May 2021. ... The reason I book so fast is because I can only offer Friday - Sunday for photoshoots. I work full time through the week & part time study somewhere in between all that haha. I have 1 weekend off in a month to catch up with editing/admin, spend time with the Fiancé & sometimes I even get the chance to attend a social event haha. 16.01.2022 { F A M I L Y } There is something so special about documenting families with young children. I feel so privileged to be able to provide memories that will be cherished for years to come Time goes so fast, and this year was a perfect example of that. Take the time to organise your families shoot - Its an hour out of your afternoon, but it has ever lasting effect Its been a whole year since I seen the Mittelheuser family, and I was absolutely blown away with how much Jemim...a has grown! Infact - I learnt something from a 2.5year old yesterday... How to do the Floss dance! How did I not know this was a thing haha. For me, even though I didn't get home from a shoot until 9pm last night - as soon as my eyes opened at 4am this morning, all I could think about was to continue editing this gorgeous Maternity session I shot through the week. ... 13.01.2022 | E L O P E M E N T S | & s s About three weeks ago Janette and I talked for the first time about availability for coverage of her Elopement in Bundaberg - planning all this from her home in Brisbane. Sundays are usually quite sacred to me - usually being the only day I get off through the week... But hearing Janette & Robs reasoning for planning a Wedding in such a short amount of time had me reaching for the tissues.... With Rob's Dad terminally ill with Cancer in hospital, they both decided to plan a wedding in just 4 weeks in hopes he would hang on long enough to watch them get married. But sadly, he lost his battle to Cancer shortly after. It was so touching seeing framed pictures of both Robs Mum & Dad in front row of the ceremony. Jock, is the most happiest, confident, smart, dimply cheeked baby boy! He definitely didn't make me work very hard for a smile - he almost wears one all the time. If he will be anything like his parents, he will be the one who makes everyone smile with witty, quick comments like his Mum & have a big work ethic like his Dad; Who was stick picking in between shots haha. 09.01.2022 {WEDDINGS} I am sharing this beautiful Wedding again with you all as the original post has somehow disappeared Love is patient" is how Mel described their love to me. Dan & Melissa have been together for 29years after meeting at a friends Christmas Party. They got engaged earlier on, but life happened and they never got to tie the knot. In the meantime Dan & Mel had two beautiful girls, focused on developing their careers & then a couple years ago they settled down just ...outside of Gin Gin on a block of land with a stunning historic Queenslander that they call home. December 2019, Dan got down on one knee & proposed to Mel. Mel said I wasn’t going to wait any longer & I started planning straight away!! Their original Wedding Date was in May - so ofcourse, like many other Wedding couples this year, they had to postpone because of the worldwide pandemic- COVID-19. Mel has had to wait 29years - what’s another couple months right!? Haha. 09.01.2022 I done it! 33 hours of solid editing on the weekend to edit & deliver FIVE clients galleries & I am all caught up! (Even editing & delivering the shoot I did last Saturday! Like Saturday 2 days ago haha ) This is giving me a couple weeks off to Study/Submit my last assignments for the year & sneak away for a weekend with the Fiance to celebrate our 6 Year Anniversary! Yayy! ... . . . I also wanted to pop on here & say that I have received a fresh delivery of Gift Vouchers after selling out. 03.01.2022 { EXTENDED FAMILIES } Saturday afternoon I met with the Duff Family at the Barolin Nature Reserve, Bargara. This is the first time using this location, and I can see why its so popular with Bundaberg Photographers! Extended Family shoots are the best! Always plenty of laughs, sibling rivalry fun and a bit of semi - unorganized chaos haha. I have been photographing Bec’s two boys since they were newborns - in fact last time I seen the youngest he was only a couple weeks old. ... Since my last post, my inbox has been flooded with inquiries to book updated Family shoots. With some families not having photos since the youngest was born - 13years ago!
