11.01.2022 Feeling relieved today, 1 week after Carey had a fall on the road, such a shock for us both. Started her on anti-inflammatory herbs 3 x d, along with arnica, included herbs for infection control and rescue remedy- for us both. Volcanic, clay based colloidal minerals with magnesium applied to her leg 2 x day, assisted in reducing the swelling.... It's moments like these that I'm thankful for the wonderful knowledge of equine herbal medicine. All those long hours of study are worth every minute just to see how powerful the herbs & their healing qualities work and how quickly Carey has responded. 10.01.2022 Horses have strong instincts and senses - yesterday I was treated to an #equineassistedlearning experience with @anitawilson.herbalist in her paddock with her b...eautiful mare Carey #duffysforest. It was a full immersion into their world and a surprisingly deep learning experience, I continue to reflect on what I learnt. It was awesome horses instincts are fine tuned to identify our authentic intent horses can only tell the truth no fooling them. Carey could tell when I was confused, and unsure, plus a little nervous in moments She is very big at 17 hands Anita organised a ‘journey’ for me to lead Carey through a range of activities in the paddock - not so easy at first and as I relaxed and connected with her we made lovely progress.
