25.01.2022 We always get asked, "How do I tie my wrap dress", so we have finally got round to making a tutorial video on 10 ways to tie our signature wrap dress. There are probably a million and one different ways to tie this versatile dress so if you come up with new ways to tie it, be sure to share it with us! Which is your favourite way to tie your #anjelmswrapdress?

25.01.2022 To pull a few strings ... It will certainly give you a few options to play with the length and draping of our new indigo mud stripe skirt. From day to night, this skirt will have you ready for anything.

23.01.2022 We do feel very sheltered in Western Australia, at times have felt isolated. I used to be told at national meetings in my previous job that we were the Wait-A-While state. Well, this is what feeling blessed looks like! An idyllic day in Fremantle! Blue skies, blue ocean by the Maritime Museum in our new indigo drop waist dress with V-back and our must-have bandana. 20.01.2022 I moved to Fremantle, Western Australia from France 26 years ago. I have built a new life and started a family in Freo. I have started The ANJELMS Project 12 years ago at the town hall weekly market under the fig tree. I have had our @fremantlemarkets store for 12 years and different ventures there over the years from a store in High St to one in the Many 2.0 Project. I have now started a new store at the Fremantle Fibonacci Centre. Yes, I love my home town. I love the activi...ty of the port, the colourful characters that make our town like no other, the chilled-out community, the amazing creatives that I have met and who have become friends. I feel incredibly blessed to call Fremantle home. So, last week we chose the most magical day to do a photoshoot in our port. It was blissful, not a soul in sight just the blue sky and water, incredible light and the giraffes (cranes) supervising, and yes, a majestic container ship passed by. A cherished day shared with @biancarooose @ai.loved.this and photographed by @jingwsong

18.01.2022 Our studio and new treasure of a store is at the Fibonacci Centre, a local hub of creatives passionate about art and community. Meet Lora, one of the residents at the Fib. @ecoactionwa: It is comforting to see that there seems to be a growing desire to support local businesses and artists. Perhaps one of the positives of Covid?... I have been busy working on several paintings in a private residence in South Fremantle. Each new wall has its own set of challenges, and I always feel a bit intimidated starting a new surface. The starting is always the hardest part- but I think that’s a good thing perhaps? The flowers are all native to south west WA and include Banksia menziesii, Hardenbergia comptoniana, Eucalyptus caesia (my favourite ) and Caladenia sp. (spider orchids). The weirdo chameleon is in one of the bedrooms and the willy-wag tail is perched on the light switch. I am going to start on the final wall in the main bedroom next week. The clothes I am wearing in the photos are from The ANJELMS Project local fashion label who are committed to ethical and fair -trade practices. Anjelms is based at The Freo markets and the Fibonacci Centre. The people gathering print dress I am wearing in the seated photo is part of concept to cloth series and symbolises the importance of community. The people gathering print: As a plaything, toys hold with them a history which reveals the values and concerns of a community through the example of how children choose to occupy them as a material object. The people gathering pattern was influenced through a collection of 18th-century toys originating from Europe, which featured little wooden people dancing together hand in hand. This is a pattern which deals with sentimental ideas attached to history and objects, and the way this can articulate more extensive social conventions dealing with the hindrance or help within harmony and acceptance needed to create a sustainable, ethical community. This can be perceived as a value in which The Anjelms Project may stand by as an ethical initiative and community. : @mcladdyjim

15.01.2022 As we have just released the second part of our blog interview with our beloved friend, mother, creative @ai.loved.this, we wish to share these words from her to bring you joy and hope as they have to us. I met Ai-Ch’ng over 10 years ago when she strolled in my little market store then full of batik and Ikat treasures from our beginnings with the team in Bali. We connected straight away over our passion for cultural diversity and heritage, for our families, our hopes for our children, the fun we have using fashion as a way to express our personalities. We both love life, people, laugh and...endless conversations as you will discover. You can learn more about Ai Ch’ng on our journal, link in bio. @ Fremantle, Western Australia

09.01.2022 Spring calls for the perfect easy to wear dress. We love the simplicity of our Vintage Dress this season. Inspired from an attic find in my native French countryside, it has a fresh wide neckline with a buttoned placket at the front, 3/4 sleeves, an underarm detail to provide ease of movement, and a simple tie at the waist.
