24.01.2022 I absolutely loved the story behind this commission and it was an honour to have part in creating it. I have learnt so much about the American Indians spiritual connection to horses and the bond they share. This piece was shipped interstate with great care last week and my greatest compliment was that it was received by an excited acknowledgment from their pet dog. The fact that the dog recognised the image is a huge endorsement for me personally as this horse was a protector to this dog. A truly special horse.

24.01.2022 I spent yesterday morning laying on an arena floor (as you do) capturing some powerful horse energy, thanks to Julia Weir and her stunning horses. I am so excited about our SALA exhibition this year at the British Hotel in North Adelaide. Our theme is "Be Bold" and I can't wait for it to all come together. A busy few months ahead in the studio :D

19.01.2022 A while since I posted as I have been working as an interior decorator outside of my normal artist in residence and teaching roles. Its amazing how understanding texture, tone, flow and colour helps in other aspects of business. What a fulfilling term it was, but enjoying getting back in the studio these holidays and finishing work. This is such a sweet boy and so glad I could capture him in his hay days.

09.01.2022 SALA exhibition - let the games begin. Really looking forward to stepping aside from commissions for a short while to relax my style and melt into some paint and gold leaf. I find it really benefits my overall results to take a break and splash some paint on a canvas

08.01.2022 If you get a chance, go visit the VanGogh exhibition in Melbourne. I was swept away by the incredible use of colour and texture in his paintings. Photos never really do anyones art work justice but take a look at a close up of a small portion of one of his works. Incredible! So glad I got to experience it

08.01.2022 What a privilege it was to capture this magnificent dressage mare, Dior, who is owned and competed by Julia Weir. This horse has a personality unlike any horse that I have worked with and an undertone of bright colours to her black coat that, to me, reflects her social inquisitivities, and yet there is an inner calm, strength and power that simply turns heads and draws you to her. I hope that I have captured some of these amazing qualities that stood out when meeting her.

02.01.2022 Results from our Adult Art Therapy Class this term. We explored chalk pastels, watercolour, acrylic painting, pencil and wash, introduction to fur, and portraiture in watercolour pencils. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening sessions and can't wait to continue into next term :)
