25.01.2022 Twice-baked paleo granola This nut and seed heavy recipe is nourishing and delicious, a perfect way to boost your kidney energy. Best of all, it’s super easy to make:... Simply wizz up some nuts (today I used almonds, macadamias, cashews and some Brazil nuts). Make sure there are still some decent sized chunks Melt some coconut oil Add a dash of sweetener to the melted oil (I used maple syrup) and spices of your choice (I went for vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg) Mix the coconut oil with the nuts, and Add some seeds (I chose pepitas), mix until the nuts are covered and glistening Spread the granola mixture in a thin layer on baking trays Bake for 10 minutes at 160 *take a moment here to bask in the gorgeous aroma wafting through your house* *if you have children, they’ll likely start to accumulate in the kitchen area, hoping for dessert* *if they are anything like my children, they’ll be disappointed to find you’re making something healthy* Take the trays out and allow the mix to cool, before baking again The granola will keep in the fridge for about a week. I love this with coconut yoghurt and berries, or as a sneaky crunchy sprinkle on top of gf porridge

24.01.2022 Spent yesterday evening #cacao journeying with @shannonvallance.com.au of @shamanicheartmedicine Such a healing practice, I’m lucky to have a beautiful space in which to journey, surrounded by pieces from special friends, artwork from @clayofeyes and my own creation #heartchakra If you’d like to see more of my artwork you can give me a sweet little follow over on @annaritterart

23.01.2022 It’s National Pain Week. Did you know that according to the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and Faculty of Pain Medicine, evidence from systematic reviews (NHMRC Level I evidence) was found for acupuncture in the acute pain management of: Primary dysmenorrhoea (period pain)... Tension-type headaches Migraine Postoperative pain Back pain This indicates that acupuncture's pain management extends beyond only musculoskeletal pain. Let's hear it for conditions like period pain (primary dysmenorrhoea) too! #NationalPainWeek

22.01.2022 First day of no 25km travel restrictions today here in Melbourne! So I trundled off to Brunswick to pick up these beauties from @biscotta.au We are seeing some family from regional Vic this evening, we haven’t seen them for many months!... If that’s not a reason for cake I don’t know what is

22.01.2022 Pink hair, don’t care Made the most of the sun and the 10km today with some fresh new pastel hair courtesy of #manicpanic Gotta get the lockdown fun happening somehow, some fresh air and this pretty pink *worked*

22.01.2022 The view from my deck Gazing out at this vista is one of my favourite lazy pastimes. Cultivating rest, stillness and lazy contemplation is a new-ish practice for me.... It’s hard to not pick up the phone or get restless and start doing ya feel me? This view helps #nofilter

19.01.2022 Welcome to this beautiful babe! Her long-anticipated arrival happened a few weeks ago. It’s always a joy to receive these pictures from my patients, especially when the new babe takes after mum so much!

19.01.2022 My little meditation pal today: My divine fur child Last week I dived deep in to a meditation intensive with @katieunderwoodhealing ... It’s a practice I’m familiar with, but haven’t done as much of lately. #katieunderwood offered a beautiful mantra based intensive via her Facebook page. We sat in meditation several times a day. It was blissful. My intention is to continue with this practice daily. I have to say, it’s even more blissful with a sleeping feline on your lap Katie also offers regular #soundhealing experiences. We sat in on the last Full Moon sound healing a couple of weeks ago and it was incredible. Check out her page if this is something that interests you.

18.01.2022 This is the latest addition to my wellness routine: Lemon and fresh ginger, steeped in hot water until cool. Strained, then mixed with honey. This suggestion came from @natatkins a beautiful yoga teacher and Ayurvedic practitioner.... I’ve been hot-lemon-watering for years now, so I was interested to see how this #ayurvedic practice would feel. It’s said to support the body in detoxing- a perfect practice for this time of year. During Spring the Wood and Liver energy is strong. Making it a good time to embark upon new health practices and a particularly good time for detoxing. I’m definitely feeling the effects already, and I’m loving the zing of the ginger. It offers a great kick start to the day If you want to find out more about Ayurveda, hop over to Natalie’s page. I’ve really been enjoying all the tips and insights in to Ayurvedic Medicine

17.01.2022 Shen The spark of shining light, Our gift of divinity, rained down upon us from the heavens above.... Shining, shining bright. From deep within the empty centre of the Heart Shen in #chinesemedicine is the spark of personality which animates us, it is the twinkle in someone’s eye, the moment of recognition we share when we meet another. A healthy Shen will shine out of the eyes and present with a healthy, glowing complexion. When absent, or distressed, there may be difficulty making eye contact, trouble connecting. The eyes and complexion may seem dull. The inspiration for this piece came to me, as inspiration often does, as I was lying in shavasana, post yoga. I’m always grateful for these flashes of inspiration. They feel like such a precious gift. I’m happy I’ve been able to capture this one. My Shen, shining bright. Acrylic on canvas.

16.01.2022 Channeling my inner Leia for Halloween 2020! We decked out the house, got all dressed up and had our first ever post lockdown meal out at an actual real restaurant! Amazing!

15.01.2022 Did you know I also offer private room sessions from @natural.pathways.mitcham on Wednesday afternoons? These rooms are quiet and peaceful, and look out over the Natural Pathways healing gardens. Whether you are just beginning your healing journey or require more private one on one support, this clinic provides the setting for you to receive the care you need

14.01.2022 Getting some admin done before clinic this afternoon. Trying to, at least. Hard to work with this honey sitting on the desk ... #sunshinecat

11.01.2022 Walk your own path. This can be a tricky thing. Particularly if you’re hearing a lot of external (or internal) noise about how you ‘should’ be, what you ‘should’ be doing, and how you ‘should’ be doing it.... Is anyone else not a fan of the ‘should’?! I’ve always loved seeing women step in to their power and walk their own path. Well, I’ve just been totally inspired listening to the #daretoleadpodcast by @brenebrown She spoke with the incredible @abbywambach about her book #wolfpack and her work supporting women to become leaders: Leaders in their own lives, in their fields, and in the world AT LARGE! Awesome! Abby spoke of walking your own path, finding what it is you want, and going for it. That there isn’t one ‘right’ way of doing things, that you’ve gotta find the right way for you. I fricking love this so much. It’s inspired me, big time! I’ll definitely be buying Abby’s book, and getting a copy for the young women in my world. It’s just what our future leaders need!

09.01.2022 Colour inspo Just loving these colours and textures. Nature is a huge source of inspiration for my creative self.

08.01.2022 Beautiful blue sky, not from today Hopefully this spring wind settles and we get more of the clear blue days

08.01.2022 I love this walking track! It feels so spacious, the scale of the tall eucalypts always takes my breath away. It fills my cup.... Something about this track gives me Sleeping Beauty vibes, Very wholesome, Disney animation feels, circa 1950’s, magical AF

07.01.2022 Body neutrality! This article recommends things like doing exercise you actually enjoy, and do it to appreciate what your body can do, rather than to lose weight; eating intuitively; wearing clothes you like and that feel comfortable; mute or unfollow social media accounts that make you feel a type of way about your body.
