05.01.2022 I had a beer this morning at 10.50am. I was due to start a wedding at 11.00. Today was one of those weddings that I’ll never forget. I walked in the door and the groom’s son gave me a beer. The groom, with his almost wife of 34 years, looked at me and said ‘so how the fuck will this go?’ I smiled, swigged the beer, looked at Rob who had finally said yes to Jan, and laughed. ‘However the fuck you want it to Rob’. And it did. Their wedding, their way. It’s my job to make it hap...pen. Anyway they want. These two said yep under a tree in their front yard on a Friday. Their world had changed dramatically lately and there wasn’t a day left that these two didn’t want to spend as husband and wife. When the bad news comes, find the good and hold on tight.
