24.01.2022 Making mistakes moulds us into who we are today and who we'll be tomorrow! Don't try to be perfect, just do it! This was my problem and sometimes its still is....... I don't show my weaknesses. I don't want to fail. I want perfection! But I realise I need to be realistic and accept that no-one is prefect. It's ok to make mistakes because I am only human. Making mistakes is part of what I need to go through in order to be successful and I wouldn't have gained this much knowledge and experience if it wasn't for the mistakes I have made. I am accepting all my frawls and embrace all failures. Everyone makes mistakes as long as we don't use that as an excuse. Get up when we fall, try harder when we fail. 23.01.2022 Marketing without being too salesy...let's talk law of emotion! How do we advertise our products & services without being a pushy sales person? Its quite easy...don't sell them the product but sell them the feeling and emotion of what the product and service can do for them. ... I had dark pigmentation covering all my cheek areas and after I gave birth to my son those pigmentation became even darker. (Pic 4) I lost confident to take selfies, always packed on a whole heap of foundation & make up on to cover the pigmentation. I lacked confidence and self esteem. If you had a skin care line how would you sell me your product? You see, what I've learnt is people don't buy products, they buy emotions. Eg. When you like a singer you don't just like the artist but you like the song they sang and the feeling you get when you listen to it. In my case I met someone that didn't try sell me the product to help my skin. She sold me feelings of happiness, confidence and self-esteem of how I would feel after using her product. After regular use I noticed my pigmentation began to lightened and my skin started to glow I was happy. I felt confident. You see she not only sold me her product but she gave me feelings of confidence & self esteem. So if I met someone that had my skin condition what do you think I will advise her to use? Exactly...I would let her know my story! I'm not here to sell you any skin products, I'm just here to share with you what I have learnt that has helped me in my business. Next time you try selling something to someone, don't think of selling the product/services but show your clients what they will gain from using your products and services, think of helping that person first and ask yourself "what emotions will they gain after using your product?". 16.01.2022 Taking a stroll and enjoy quality time alone. Never thought going for a walk alone can be so enjoyable! Running myown business I forget to take time off for myself...booking inclients back to back, early morning start to late nights everyday. Rush to grab something to eat in between clients working 12hrs+ everyday until....my body collapsed and couldn't handle it anymore.... Mybody needed rest, I needed to eat properly, my health began to be an issue.... I didn'tenjoy the finer things in life anymore...that was me! Now as I get older in my 40+ I realised how much I have neglected myself whilst looking after my clients and how much I appreciate quality time alone going for walks, sleeping early and wake up before the birds are singing. My biggestadvice to anyone running their own business is "you need to look after yourself before you can look after someone else! " Draw a line toseparate yourpersonal &professional lifewhere possible. We must ensure our health and family is placed above everything. Remember the reason we started our business was so we can be in control of how we want things to run, be successful and enjoy it at the same time NOT be as a slave in your business. Work on growingyour business instead of always working in it that you have no time to focus on anything else. 08.01.2022 What's more important than growing your business? I dive so deep into my business sometimes that I forget about the person who needs me the most, my son! At a toddler age he needs the love and attention from me so much, he follows me around and copies everything I do as he sees me as someone important in his life he looks up to besides the love of his grandma.... Because of this I have made it my mission to spend every weekend doing things together and building a connection with him. Walks in the parks, bike riding and any fun activities I can think of. I realise I should make the most of the time I have with Kai and enjoy him at this age because once he grows up into young boys/men he won't wanna spend time with his mumma. I may need to force him to give me a hug or a kiss even! As our kids get older so do our parents...they won't be around forever. So as much as our business may be important to us, we need to step back and focus on our family and people around that's always loving and supportive to our needs. Wishing everyone a great week!
