25.01.2022 It’s good to see SAC awake and bustling again, I’m so looking forward to my first day back in the shop on Tuesday. I’ve decided to stay with my 20% discount in the shop as well as online til the end of June, to celebrate breaking out from hibernation!

25.01.2022 With Sunday not very far away, I was thinking about mothering - having been both a daughter and a mother I know it's a profoundly beautiful experience that means combining the rough and the smooth .. so here's something that reflects those contrasts - the sandy texture of African fair trade, village-made blue glass beads and the gentle translucent gleam of freshwater pearls ... culminating in something perfect - in this case, an oval pendant. Happy Mothers' Day to everyone.

24.01.2022 Having a bracelet moment right now, and discovering clasps can be safe and secure and be bold as well. In one, blue jasper is snuggled in between handmade silver beads that were really fun to make. The other, green one is one I made for myself, with Zoisite beads...I couldn’t resist using them as my adorable granbaby is called Zoe #Findcollective

23.01.2022 Oh dear, Facebook does get its knickers in a knot if you don’t post for a while - so here are some images of pieces I’ve been working on this week, using some deep forest green beads - a gemstone called chrome diopside. I hope you like them. Tomorrow they’ll be at Art Untamed, in beautiful Dennes Pt, Bruny Island.

23.01.2022 So hard to choose highlights from our trip to Athens, Paxos and Corfu. It was wonderful but it’s great to be home too.

22.01.2022 Thank you FIND for posting this ... it’s a Chiton shell from North Bruny Island.

22.01.2022 A delightful email came this morning asking for a Lace Coral pendant, to be sent to North Carolina. A little piece of Bruny Island beauty, going all the way to the Deep South of America.

21.01.2022 Sometimes there is jewellery in my garden, and sometimes ... very often ... some indecisive bees

18.01.2022 A photo of some treetops on a golden Bruny Island evening, brightly printed on aluminium, and set in sterling silver front and back. Photo by @ruthevenhuisdesigns for FIND Collective.

17.01.2022 Some treats at FIND Collective

14.01.2022 Thank you so much to everyone who has joined this page. It's very inspiring. I might have to get my act together and post a few more pics of new work, especially as the annual festivities start warming up. I hope you excuse my fledgling photographic skills! Best wishes, Anna

13.01.2022 One of my favourite pieces is my native hen necklace. The Tasmanian native hen, aka the turbo chook, is universally adored. A few months ago I posted an order for a native hen pendant, and last night received this lovely message and photo from Natalie Frohmader.

12.01.2022 Thanks so much @Ruth Evenhuis for this lovely photo of my forty spot pardalote earrings. Not sure why the prettiest little birds have to be so tiny, how fabulous eagle-sized ones would be! #40spottedpardalote #birdearrings #tasdesigned #tasmanianmade #findcollective

10.01.2022 These tiny translucent sea green, dark-flecked gemstones make me think of the waving forests of kelp in the beautiful deep harbour of Port Davey, way down in Tasmania’s south. A very unromantic person has named the stone chrome diopside. They really could have done better.

08.01.2022 There are so many ways to care for your sterling silver jewellery. An effective environmentally-friendly way to take the tarnish off is to soak sterling silver pieces in cup of white vinegar and 2 tbsp of bicarb soda for 2 or 3 hours. When the two ingredients combine there will be lots of fizzing and foam, so it’s best to do it over the sink. After the soak just rinse the jewellery and pat dry. I wouldn’t do this if there are any stones or pearls in the jewellery, unless they are diamonds or sapphires.

07.01.2022 My favourite bangle ....

06.01.2022 I guess you know when your customer likes her new necklace, when she wears it in the bath ....

06.01.2022 Nothing wrong with the natural black, brown and beige colours of a quoll, but how good would it be if they had the same colour as a native violet?

05.01.2022 Sweet raindrops chasing each other in a very secure bracelet. It’s a medium size but can be made a little bigger or smaller. It’s on its way to FIND this evening.

04.01.2022 Having more time at home since FIND Collective has closed its doors temporarily, there's been a chance to catch up a bit on my photography, so here are some examples of pieces I've made recently .... if you'd like to know more, dm me. There are more pictures too of my work, at www.findcollective.com.au/anna-m-williams and on Instagram at annamwilliamsjewelleryetc. Until FIND opens its doors again, I'll be offering a 20% discount on normal pricing too.

04.01.2022 A year or so ago, I made a pendant like a textured silver moon seen through an arch. Somehow looking at it through an arch made that moon seem so far far away. So now on that theme I've made another archway and through that there is a lapis lazuli with all the depth of a wonderous midnight sky. A nice place to start some dreams!

03.01.2022 It’s great to be alive. More sunny days, new life springing up .... and soon, a new baby in our family. I’m really enjoying all this anticipation - so here are some leaves and petals to share the joy.

03.01.2022 These were inspired by imagining silver light shards in purple skies ... and thanks to Ruth Evenhuis for photographing them ....

02.01.2022 With a growing focus this week on aboriginality, I thought I would honour their artistry, with a tribute to the shields used traditionally in Western Australia. #artuntamed #bruny #brunyisland #dennespoint
