We are still working limited hours for a little while longer. ... However we are happy to be almost back to normal, feel free to make an appointment by calling us or booking online. 15.01.2022 We are still here! We are only able to do certain procedures and are not currently booking standard check and cleaning appointments but at least you know we will be here if you need us. We are following the COVID-19 Level 2 restrictions which means we are not always at AVD but we are accessible by phone or video conference to determine your level of urgency. ... If we do see patients face to face we are asking everyone to sanitise their hands on arrival and before they leave, as well as checking everyones temperature with an infrared non-contact thermometer before treatment. We are following all our usual infection control requirements on top of our new procedures to not only keep us safe but our patients too. 14.01.2022 The importance of a super-comfortable and ergonomic chair. When I sat in the Planmeca Compact iTouch dental chair, I was immediately sold on it. Its super comfy. I sank into the luxe memory foam upholstery and thought to myself, I could sit here for a while. It all starts with the extremely soft foam and soft touch yet easily cleanable upholstery, which they call Ultra Relax. Whatever they choose to call it, it certainly is comfortable. ... The patients position, even when fully reclined, is relaxing with legs lower than head so you dont feel as if you are being hung upside down. And the headrest is very adjustable and really soft. The chair position is fully adjustable for both kids and adults to make it comfortable for everyone.

Accepted waste includes all toothbrushes, packaging, floss containers, disposable flossers, piksters, toothpaste tubes and caps. Any brand, not just Colgate. So please feel free to drop off your unwanted waste in our collection bin. For every item of waste we collect Colgate... will donate 2c to MSF and Annandale Village Dentistry will match the donation. 09.01.2022 A BIG thank you to all my helper families tonight. I wont name you here but together we spread around more than 2000 tubes of toothpaste today around Annandale. I think most kids thought it was a bit of fun (but not quite as good as candy). Liam and Rory (pictured below) traded toothpaste for candy wherever they collected tonight. ... They loved it.

02.01.2022 We decorated for Halloween today. With a bit of a surprise in the lollies box. ... Well you didnt think we could responsibly leave chocolate there. ... The samples didnt last long and we were left some gifts behind! Thank you Shelley for all your hard work with the decorations. And thanks to Colgate and Oral B for the samples. 01.01.2022 After 9 months in business we have some exciting news. I am very happy to announce that Dr James Pomfret will be joining our team as our new associate dentist. James has been working with us at AVD since we opened in April last year assisting Gordon on Saturdays as a chairside assistant. Hes learned the AVD way over the last few months while finishing his degree and will now be able to expand our availability and services. ... James will be working on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. So we will now be open on Tuesdays as well as every Saturday.

01.01.2022 We sent our first 5.09kg of oral hygiene waste into Terracycle today! So thats a lot fewer toothbrushes, toothpaste tubes and floss dispensers going into landfill! More than that, this will also result in a donation from Colgate to our chosen charity, Doctors Without Borders According to Colgates calculations, 5kg of waste is about 550 items and that equates to a $10 donation! ... I know that I pledged to match Colgates donations but Im actually going to personally contribute an extra $8/kg to bring the total donation up to $10/kg. So, please drop in your oral hygiene waste to our collection tub so we can keep this program going.
