22.01.2022 Over the past week we have had a lot of development on our East side playground (old red room yard). The anticipation and hypothesising by the children has begun! 15.01.2022 APSK provides all children’s meals which is inclusive in their day. All meals provide health and nutrition to children as well as leaving experiences not only around healthy eating but cultural exploration as well. Meal takes as annangrove are a special and close time for us at APSK. It provides opportunity for reflections and conversations with the children about their days and what they value. 13.01.2022 On Monday 7th September Annangrove Preschool held a flag raising ceremony as we had the addition of three flag poles into our multicultural garden. All children and staff took part in our ceremony. Our ceremony begun by acknowledging the traditional owners of the land and paying our respects, then followed on our preschoolers and educators sang the National Anthem. ... We source our meals through KGF (Kids Gourmet Food) which provides high quality and nutritional meals for all children. KGF is also extremely diligent and knowledge about allergies and anaphylaxis. 08.01.2022 On Tuesday we enjoyed our centre incursion Healthy Harold #healthyharold. We were super excited and showed lots of enthusiasm and passion for learning. We explored a range of different safety measures and how to be safe within our environments. The children learnt about different safety methods such as - using a seat belt in the car... - holding an adults hand when near any moving vehicle as well as in car parks - sun safety such as wearing our hats outside, sunscreen, T-shirts, finding shade and wearing sunglasses to help our eyes - how to do up our helmets when riding bikes and scooters - when to walk across the road and what the colours of the lights are for stopping, slowing down and going. - when at the beach we need to swim between the flags and stay with an adult and touch up in our sun safety. - why our pools have a fence around it and when we are allowed to go into the pool.
