24.01.2022 Happy Monday everyone!
23.01.2022 Bub is still not well. He perked up over the weekend, but his temp spiked again last night and he cried for 4 hours straight (and our bub is not a crier). It's heartbreaking to see your child sick and there's nothing you can do about it. Only good thing about him being at home sick is that because he has also made me sick, I have time to recover too. I knew he would get sick once he started daycare but I wasn't expecting it in the first week! The doctor filled me with confidence this morning by telling me that kids will get sick up to 12 times in their first year of daycare!!

20.01.2022 OIL HACK!! Are you ready to learn something cool!? I have found another chemical I can get rid of from our house - nail polish remover. That's right, you guessed it, this little bad boy removes nail polish! I was so impressed when I found out and also found out that it actually works!... 18.01.2022 It was a mummy and Noah weekend this weekend, as Daddy was visiting our newest niece, Lyla Jennifer. While I can't wait for cuddles with Lyla, I can already feel the ache in my ovaries! Newborns are so special, even their cries are beautiful! Another one wouldn't be so bad, right?? With the arrival of the newest addition to our family, it made me think back to when Noah was born. The newborn phase is so incredible, but I feel like it's only really appreciated in hindsight. D...uring it, you are too exhausted, sleep deprived, sore and focused on keeping your little human alive to really appreciate the magic of new life. 18.01.2022 I love coming home to my boys after I've been travelling for work. But I've come home to a very sick little boy. He has come down with a cold/flu that he's picked up at daycare. He just wants mummy cuddles (and daddy now gets a break!) With a stuffy nose, he is finding it hard to eat, drink and generally just breath! So I've turned to some traditional and not so traditional methods to help him out - nurofen for his fever and pain, essential oil immune roller on his back to he...lp him kick his sickness, eucalyptus rub (for babies) on his chest and my trusty oils in the diffuser (easy air, rosemary and peppermint). I love that I can turn to these alternatives to help my little man. While he is permanently attached to me today, at least I get a chance to catch up on my TV shows while he sleeps! #doterraessentialoils #sickbaby #wellnessadvocate #naturalhealth

14.01.2022 Daycare has a lot to answer for! Don't get me wrong, it's great that Noah has a fabulous time and we know that he is safe and fed and clean, but I feel like we are permanently sick at the moment! Noah came down with a fever again on Thursday which eventually broke on Monday morning. This pic was taken on Saturday afternoon - while daddy was coaching basketball, we were sleeping for 5 hours straight. And while he had no other symptoms, I'm now sick again. It's like a never end...ing cycle! I'm very grateful to have my oils to help support us through these times. 13.01.2022 These two things will hopefully get me through the next 48 hours! Coffee and my immune blend. I'm yet again feeling under the weather and also happen to be flying to Samoa. Not a great combination. Further stressor is that my beloved boys are not with me I know that they'll be ok without me for 1 night, though it's going to be tough for daddy without any boobies!... I'm totally fine with flying, I've been doing it from such a young age. But I always feel anxious leaving my family. 11.01.2022 Today hubby and I were on a cleaning spree. We have a house inspection coming up and so we are making sure everything is clean and tidy. Noah loves to help too. And the best thing about our cleaning products is that I have no issue with Noah standing right outside the shower as hubby is cleaning it. Neither of them are exposed to toxic chemicals or dangerous fumes. We clean our shower with a paste made from bi carb soda and water and we add essential oils - usually oregano an...d lemon. I love that we use non toxic chemicals when we clean and I love that our house smells amazing when it's clean, not at all like chemicals. 06.01.2022 Noah started daycare today and while I thought I was totally in control, as soon as we dropped him off and he was reaching for me to come back, I completely broke down. I was bawling on my husbands shoulder in the car park. So I was using this blend a lot today - Peace. It's called the reassuring blend. I was using it to help keep my emotions in check. Meanwhile, Noah had a great time! He apparently played with the other kids and ate a tonne of fruit! 01.01.2022 I this face so much! Our gorgeous boy is the reason I started with doterra in the first place. He was a very planned little miracle (21 abdominal injections , some other not so pleasant medication and 3 medical procedures to get this little boy) I've now been with doterra for a year, and haven't looked back! 01.01.2022 This was my chook yesterday at daycare. He is obsessed with blowing kisses, particularly to all his teachers, which they love! I think he has won some hearts already! Yesterday I was in a taxi to the city for work with a very chatty driver (I'm personally not a fan of chatting, I'd rather listen to the radio or check my emails, but what can you do!). He was a different kind of taxi driver, he was a retired business man who couldn't sit at home and "lunch and golf" all day (on...ly on Wednesday and Saturday apparently) (and when I pointed out that it was in fact Wednesday, he confirmed that he would be golfing that afternoon!). But what I liked about this taxi ride was that when I was getting out, he said to me "have a good day... Or better yet, make it a good day". I really liked this. Too often we think everything is out of our control (which some things are - the weather, traffic etc.), but what is in our control is how we handle and respond to situations. We can either be happy and blow kisses to everyone (like Noah!) or we can be consumed by the negatives and get lost in negative head space.
