Now is the time to start thinking about heat loss from old or unlined curtains. 20 -50% of your heating is lost through windows without curtains or blinds. A heavy curtain with 3 pass (block out) lining is the solution and adding a pelmet further decreases the loss of heat through the windows. A well fitted blind either in the recess or on the face of the window will also reduce the heat loss.
