15.01.2022 Hello! If you’re new here, I’m Anna. I’m the designer and screen printer behind my label, Anna Sutherland. Creating intricate patterns on fabrics & tea-towels, maker of products and also run two other businesses, Anna & Co and Dinoplanters. This is a little video I did at the beginning of the year about my textile products for a virtual market that I thought I’d share again. This year has turned out to be very different from the plans I originally made. I was meant to be moving to Perth, WA. Due to covid I’m still here loving country life in Uralla, NSW and keeping busy printing up a storm in my studio! I really wish I’d kept a log of how many metres I have printed in the last 6 months.. 15.01.2022 One of my most frequently asked questions.. ‘Who do you get to sew all your products?’ Answer: ME! I screen print all my own fabrics, then I sew the products myself. ... As I’m left handed nothing ever seems to be cut as straight as I’d like....so I outsource this step to my fabulous mum, she cuts up all my fabrics to perfection ready for me to sew. Thanks mum! 14.01.2022 Ever wondered how I create my designs? I love these flowers I found in the garden. They remind me of a kaleidoscope! My nature inspired designs start with taking a photo in the garden. ... I then do a line drawing which I later put onto my computer to transform into a repeat pattern either to be exposed onto my screens for screen-printing or ready to be digitally printed. #textiledesigner #australianmade #fabricdesigns
