25.01.2022 This is the start of a new direction in my art. For a while I've been working on a series of abstracts. Here's two just completed. They are oil on canvas and linen and are built up in layers with a lot of scraping back to bring out elements in the lower layers. I use glazes to bring out some of the colours and occasionally add a little gold leaf. The first is oil on linen 122cm x 96cm x 3.5cm. The second is 1 metre square, oil on canvas. They are both for sale at A$1650 excluding shipping if required. They need a 2-3 weeks to dry fully. 15.01.2022 Some recent paintings completed.
13.01.2022 Three new little experiments inspired by Monet and Laurence Amelie and Ballarat's Lake Wendouree, which has a beautiful botanical section. The first is Pretty in Pink (it is very pink!) 60x60 on board. Second one is a little one 20x20 on board. And the third is a larger version of water lilies. All in acrylic. Fun to do and a bit more complex than I expected.
