25.01.2022 Lyric is the king of the property , he pretty much roams wherever he likes. Today he was enjoying a good ol bum scratch on the apple tree when we drove in and he knew he was caught out

25.01.2022 Fun at SADA on Sunday- and that is what competing should be all about

23.01.2022 This is a great opportunity to win an arena at a very cheap price with very high odds! Plus you are supporting SADA - win / win!!

22.01.2022 Appreciation post to my Farrier, Troy Barth. Tolly really struggled on the grass at Naracoorte a couple of weeks ago and was very unsure of the surface as we don’t usually compete on grass. After chatting to Troy and discussed options including studs for the upcoming Spring Dressage Festival Troy suggested putting some larger nails in his hind shoes just to give Tolly some extra grip. This was the perfect solution and Tolly was super confident on grass all weekend and putting in some super tests. Thank you Troy

21.01.2022 A short snippet of the beginning in Tolly’s Elementary 3A test yesterday. He ended up scoring 69% in this test and second place. He also placed second in the 3C with 65%. This was only his second try at this level , I really feel we have such a strong connection now

15.01.2022 Warmblood/ Welsh 148.5cm Talented, Calm, competive, and darn cute Dressage Pony, Show Hunter, Show Jumper, A push button ride Dennis will do as much as you ask of him, more woah than go he will enjoy motoring around at your speed on a long rein or collected frame but push the right button and he becomes a light and responsive movement machine, bred for pony dressage he has the talent and education with out the high strung temperament. Playing with flying changes ( with a mat...ure amateur rider)officially measured at 148.5cm he is the perfect size for the mature rider wanting a safe competetive Pony dressage ride that will move up the grades or perfect as for inter schools . Ride everyday or once a week his attitude doesn’t change. In his very limited career as a show hunter (2 shows) he has qualified for Nationals and he goes from the float to the ring with little work down and no ear plugs even in busy environments. Just as easily pops around a show jump course. Well educated and exposed to many clinics, he has had limited competion exposure due to owners lack of time but has proven over the last 6 weeks that he is a true gentleman when competing taking care of his young riders and focusing on the job he is given. Not suitable for a beginner due to his education but handles nervous riders well and will thrive in a competitive home. 12yeard old 148.5cm (official measurement), microchipped, ea registered No fuss to float or shoe, no a fan of being clipped but does put up with it $18,000 neg to suitable home PM me and I can put you in contact with the owners

11.01.2022 Happy New Year to all of my wonderful clients! As we all reflect on 2020 and focus on achieving new goals for 2021 I have also been working on my own goals and making decisions on what I would like to achieve moving forward this year and beyond. As most of you know nearly a year ago we purchased Lyrical Acres in which we have been developing and will continue to develop into an equestrian facility for our agistees and the general community to benefit from.... Running our home property at Angle Vale as well as Lyrical Acres requires quite a bit of time as you can imagine. I also have a wonderful family that I enjoy spending time with doing non horse related activities and I would like more time to do these things. This year I am also focusing more on my own training and well being of myself and my horses , really hoping to step it up a gear. Reviewing all of these factors and goals I have decided to cut back on my coaching commitments. Long term, competitive students as well as those who train with me exclusively and consistently will take priority as well as agistees at our properties. I wish everyone the best for 2021

11.01.2022 After a day of recovery from a very busy weekend of Squad Training and the evening Masterclass we hope everyone took something away from the weekend to either t...ry or continue to practice what they have learnt. 09.01.2022 Although data states that 2/3 of Black Saturday fatalities died while sheltering in or near their house, research by bushfire scientists revealed that they did ...not die BECAUSE they were sheltering. They died because they did not know how to shelter safely. SO WHEN THE BUSHFIRE EMERGENCY MESSAGE IS It I s too Late to Leave, You Should Take Shelter and Stay Indoors - WHAT SHOULD YOU ACTUALLY DO? IF YOU CANNOT SHELTER IN A BUILDING * Shelter behind a wall; beside a large fire resistant tree (that has no flammable undergrowth); in nor beside a car; in a dam (if no vegetation is near either), in a ditch, (cover yourself with earth or blanket); crouch beneath a blankets (must be PURE WOOL and DRY) on bare ground or an already burnt area. - Dry pure wool has the quality of extinguishing sparks and embers. IF YOU CAN SHELTER IN A BUILDING Before you go inside: * Shut off gas and electricity at the mains. * Put pets inside: dogs on leash, cats in covered cages. * Take in outdoor furniture, doormats, hanging baskets, plastic pot plants. When you are inside: * Make sure all doors and windows are securely shut. * Turn off air conditioners; cover their internal vents. * If windows are unshuttered, cover with blankets (must be PURE WOOL), heavy quality quilts, foil or wet towels. *Move flammable furniture away from windows. * Close internal doors to limit fire spread if embers enter and ignite inside. * Put on protective clothing and nose mask and drink often. * Keep blankets (must be PURE WOOL and DRY) handy. * Cool off when possible. * Watch the conditions outside if possible through a small window or peephole. Do not open a door or window to look outside. * When you are sure flaring shrubs have blackened, it’s safe to go out again. (Burning tree trunks do not generally emit killing radiant heat.) PASSIVE SHELTERERS * DO NOT SHELTER IN AN INNER ROOM. Not in the hallway. Not in the bath. If you shelter in ANY kind of inner room no matter how many doors it has you could be trapped. Embers may have ignited sub-floor or wall cavities or rafters in the ceiling space,. Flaming walls or ceiling could collapse on you. Toxic fumes from smouldering furnishings, synthetic furniture or wall linings could overcome you. * STAY BY A DOOR THAT EXITS TO OUTSIDE in protective clothing and with blankets (must be PURE WOOL and DRY). * It is vital for passive shelterers to exit as soon as the potentially killing radiant heat from fames has died down. ACTIVE SHELTERERS * Take hose, sprayers and ladder inside with you. * Fill bath & troughs with water, immerse towels, roll up and place at door gaps and window ledges. Plug keyholes with play dough, blue-tack or soap. * Fill containers (e.g. garden sprayers) with water; put these, with dippers, mops etc, in each room. * Watch for invading embers. Particularly in the ceiling space, through windows, gaps under doors. Spray or hit with wet mop any sparks, embers or smouldering furnishings. * If any ignition cannot be extinguished, close the door of that room. * Maintain easy access to an exit door. * Never go outside during a flame front to douse an outside ignition. EXITING * Exit with great care, preferably from a door that is sheltered from the wind. * Wear protective clothing & nose cover, cover yourself with your blanket (must be PURE WOOL and DRY), crouch, lower your eyelids and open the door gradually. The quintessential bushfire survival resource is a HEAVY DUTY DRY PURE WOOL BLANKET. Covered with such a blanket and with a flask of water people have survived the most catastrophic conditions. Extracted from my Essential Bushfire Safety Tips (CSIRO 2012), www.publish.csiro.au/pid/6969.htm (If you can't afford to buy - most libraries have it.) See more

04.01.2022 It has taken a couple of days to sink in but what a wonderful day at the Dressage South Australia Trophy Challenge hosted by Mt Crawford Dressage Club. Thank yo...u to the two committees for running this event. Tolly put in two fabulous Medium tests, it is only his fourth time at this level and he still has so much to give. The feeling he gives me is amazing. We improved our scores by 5% to score 69 and 70 % to place second in both tests behind the wonderful Ruth Schneeberger. In Novice I was privileged to ride the stunning Fire Fly owned by Meryl Gibb. At our first competition as a combination he exceeded all expectations with a third and win in the Novice classes. Thank you Beth for allowing me to compete him. I was also totally humbled and honoured to be awarded with the Lindy Wright Memorial Award. I remember Lindy as the ultimate professional, kind and elegant rider. Someone I looked up to when I was a young rider. I feel blessed everyday being able to work with wonderful horses and wonderful students and the greater equestrian community. I have made so many wonderful friends who I consider family. Thank you to those who felt I was worthy for the nomination Thank you Chaballo - European Equestrian Gear & Fashion (Dianne Flynnand Dale Flynn) for the lovely Laaguso jacket which has been embroidered, I will treasure this forever. I am so lucky to have been supported by my family ever since I became a horse obsessed 9yo and now my wonderful husband Adam and children. I am one very lucky girl. I certainly love my work and plan to continue coaching and working with the equestrian and dressage community for a long time yet
