24.01.2022 On saturday i completed a taping course with Rocktape Australia! Was taught how to tape for Plantar fasciitis , oedema(swelling), posture, knee ,shoulder and more. I did know some taping when i went into the course however it was a great refresher! I cant wait to incorporate alot more taping into my treatments

23.01.2022 Anne K Remedial Massage is 1 today!! Thank you for all the support over the past year, it has been a tough but very rewarding 12 months. At the beginning I was petrified as i had only been fully qualified for a few months. Now i cant imagine myself doing anything else Thanks for giving me a chance

This year has gone by so fast Just reminding everyone that I will be off to the Gold Coast on the 25th of September with Hockey Victoria for the Masters tournament until the 6th of October. September 24th will be the last day for treatments before i leave but not to worry i will be back to work on the 7th of October There is still plenty of time to get a treatment!! 19.01.2022 Hey everyone, I have decided to reopen on the 1st of June! There will be some changes to the treatment room, extra paperwork, temperature checking etc in order to make it the safe for everyone. ... I will only have 1 hour treatments available. With a 1 hr block between clients to ensure a proper clean is conducted before the next client arrives. More information will be provided to you before your appointment. 18.01.2022 Hey everyone It's been a while!! I hope you have been looking after yourselves during lockdown, this one has definitely been harder. I have been keeping an eye on any emails from my association, eagerly awaiting the green light to resume treatments again. The offical date is not set in stone, but October 19th is looking good hopefully Until then my website is being worked on, online booking may be available by then (hopefully). 18.01.2022 Hey everyone, abit of advanced notice -- I will be closed from the 10th until the 24th of February as i will be getting a tonsillectomy... recovery is 2 weeks! 18.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Just wanted to update you all on the current pandemic and its effects on home based businesses. I am still closed at this current time, here are the reasons why.... - There is alot of inconsistent information coming from both the Government and Massage Associations on whether or not Remedial Massage is considered an essential service. Other sources claim that Remedial Massage can only be resumed in a external clinic not in a home based setting. The below image is a screen shot taken from a Massage group, this information was provided by the Government... - i also have family members that fall under the high risk category. Although I miss treating, the safety of my clients, family and wider community must come first. If you need stretches or advice please feel free to message or call me, as I am more than happy to provide it where possible. 17.01.2022 I am back from the Womens Australian Hockey Masters!! This year I worked the 55s who unfortunately didnt get a medal but worked extremely hard earning them 5th place. I also looked after the 65s team who won Bronze, this was a team that i shared with 2 other therapists. Went through roughly 52 metres of Rocktape Australia, only to manage injuries they had come away with, e.g overloaded tibialis posterior, knees with arthritis, lower back pain. Had a great time away with everyone, happy to be home back treating my clients

10.01.2022 Hey everyone, Hope you are looking after yourselves. Just wanted to give you some quick Glute activations to do (only 4 minutes out of your day!). I have been sitting down alot more in the last 2 weeks due to not working, but I make sure to do these exercises once a day to ensure my glutes dont become lazy / weak. Yes, I talk about glutes all of the time, they are very important. Normally I will release the hip flexors then give my clients these activations to do at h...ome BUT I cant treat (not allowed) Lazy/ weak glutes will affect everything, hamstrings, knees, calves, feet etc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtnOfMwhwn8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_O_q-D8M1I0 So, give these activations a try! Incorporate some lunges into your day. When you get up from the chair or couch, give your glutes a big squeeze... ( Yes Im telling you to squeeze your arse) Let me know how you go... Anne

09.01.2022 Happy Monday!!! Thought i would share some of the fun techniques Ive been using to help clients with pain. Edema taping - My Client sprained his ankle pretty bad last week, very swollen and bruised. So i applied a taping technique called octopus taping ! Little stretch is applied so the elasticity of the tape lifts the skin. Lifting the skin enhances lympathic drainage, increases circulation to the area allowing the body to get rid of damaged tissue and promote healing!!! P...ostural taping - i have applied this technique to a few of my clients, they definetly feel the difference! Needling underneath the foot to help get rid of trigger points. My client found this to be painful but afterwards felt a big difference and a significant reduction in pain There are still appointments available this Wednesday and Saturday so get in quick! Also next Monday and Tuesday night are my last treatment days until the 7th of October as i will be in the Gold Coast with Hockey Victoria

06.01.2022 Hey guys! How are your hips feeling? Abit tight? Mine definitely are! Since we are sitting down more these days, our hip flexors will tighten up! This is my favorite stretch to help relieve some of that tightness. If you do this stretch with the glute activations from the previous post, you will loosen up those hips! The Hip Flexors play a big part in lower back pain when glutes arent firing properly... Give this stretch a try! Let me know how you go
