25.01.2022 Love my messages from the universe that Im doing exactly what Ive been sent here to do. This sun reflection came thru on this mornings live online class right at the end. Letting me know Im on track and letting my students know they are too.

25.01.2022 I can wake up tired, have days if not feeling so great and some mornings wish I could just sleep in. But the moment I start releasing my spine, breathing and moving into my yoga on the mat, its like all is well with the world. And I feel better.

25.01.2022 Whatever you’re doing, make it great.

24.01.2022 True skill!. An entire yoga class conducted around a snoring dog right in the middle of the yoga mat. Neither of us were going to move her. Shavasana for the whole class.

24.01.2022 Yoga teaches patience, it helps you cope with frustration and that self chatter that can drive us crazy. The holding of an asana pose rather than simply jumping to the next step builds a deep inner strength. The breath training boosts a sense of calm and when youre calm you can deal with anything.

23.01.2022 Only 2 residents at the outdoor bar sadly closed for Covid. A sign of just how tough the tourist industry has been hit. At the gorgeous Marriott Hotel on Gold Coast. Quiet lobby with no one in the pools. Except me. Feels like we have the place all to ourself.

23.01.2022 Actual words from one of my online yoga students. Love it when I see health benefits as a result of incorporating yoga into their lives. . . #yogaforbettersleep #healthywithyoga... #silveryogi #senioryoga See more

22.01.2022 Many people will say I just cant get my mind still. If thats the case then take a walk on the beach or a drive in the car with no radio or sound. Go be quiet somewhere. If you cant your quiet your mind, at least quiet the world around you. Thats a great start.

22.01.2022 Ok mum were ready to start. Lets get this class happening. . . #yogabrisbane #privateyoga... #onlineyogaclasses #over50yoga See more

22.01.2022 Love hearing when my students get such fabulous results from my online yoga program.

22.01.2022 Its a @pagoniofficial and Camilla mix today.

21.01.2022 Yoga shirts with sparkles create major distraction while driving.

21.01.2022 #Tribe is so important. Whether its your yoga crew, your health accountability buddies, work mates, team or Friday avo drinking buddies, tribe is everything.

21.01.2022 Love it when my little sun angels come to play in the studio.

20.01.2022 Theres nothing quite like shavasana in the sun. Pre Covid days before so sail distancing was necessary. After a string stretchy yoga class, a deep meditation is so fabulous. And if you can lay in the sun absorbing its energy at the same time its like an energy boost to your system.

19.01.2022 The most important part of our wellbeing, without a doubt, is our breath. First and foremost, how we breathe can determine how we react to everything life throws. So take the time every day to breath deeply and slowly. For 10 breaths make the exhale a little longer than the inhale and then observe how calm you feel.

18.01.2022 Who said when youre in your sixties you need to slow down? 60+ weve only just begun.

18.01.2022 A girl can never have too much sparkle. These little numbers come from @theshoegardenaustralia and theyre still available in hot pink and sparkly black. Suitable for yoga? Ill make them work!!

17.01.2022 What’s in my favourite water bottle this morning? It’s sweaty weather here in Brisbane so I’ve chosen cucumber and celery this morning. Did you know increasing your greens helps to reduce your sugar cravings. So add more greens to your diet, your smoothies and of course your water bottle. Greens have a bitter taste so are amazingly effective in reducing that need for the sweet taste. . . #healthcoaching #reducesugarcravings... #effectiveweightloss #healthyageing See more

17.01.2022 Queen Kelly helping mum do her online yoga. Thats one way to prop up the phone.

17.01.2022 #challengeaccepted #womensupportingwomen Thanks for the nomination gorgeous @miss_emmapeel Im nominating another fabulous tribe member @sfh_designs and the gorgeous @lizjbuchanan to the challenge.

15.01.2022 Slow down, focus, hold. If there’s anything Yoga has taught me it’s to slow the f#*k down. In my early yoga years I was in a hurry to move to the next asana. My next two stretches were in my mind, ready to go and get there quick so the next one could happen. Like life, we don’t slow down enough to feel, to sense and to sit with things. Yoga has this way about it that makes you more sensitive and sensitised to yourself and what your body can do. Your focus becomes s...harper and the self chatter more controlled. . . #silveryogi #yogaforfocus #yogaforanxiety See more

15.01.2022 Silvered up a notch or two. Dont you just a trip to the hairdresser. Makes you feel all new. . . #silveryogi #overfiftiesyoga... #silverhair #seniorsrock See more

14.01.2022 I know it only too well. The quick fix magic bullet idea is irresistible. Why cant my weight and body get fixed in a day or so? Why cant one week of yoga change my body to the way I want it? Why is there not a pill I can take to fix everything? Because there isnt. It takes time, work, dedication, self belief and a drive to stick with it.

12.01.2022 Give more take less.

11.01.2022 Nothing like some sun n sand to boost spirits. Live too far away unfortunately so need to make the effort to come down for beach yoga. Nothing better.

11.01.2022 Its Monday already. Where did that weekend go?

11.01.2022 August. Can we trust you? Looking a little uncertain already!!!

11.01.2022 It's spring!!! Thank heavens, I was starting to really be over winter. I felt winter this year I think more than usual. The heaviness of this darn Covid, t...he cold, comfort eating, too much sugar, maybe too many red wines all add up to a feeling of overdoing it and it's time to clean out. Hey I'm human too and I noticed when the kilos are creeping on I can feel lethargy and inflammation also creeping in. So here is what I'm thinking and I'd love your feedback as to who might like to join me. I want to start a 'let's get healthy and bust some old habits' style of group. As a former Personal Stylist, owner of a fashion range (yep YEARS ago), Health Coach, Diabetes Food Advisor and Yoga and Meditation Instructor I feel we need to get back to basics. No gimmicks, no special 'product's, just great eating, education about health, recipes, tips when we're out at a restaurant, how to choose low GI foods, read labels and lower blood sugars. I'll share how to understand the difference between good carbs, bad carbs, good fats, bad fats, what makes food 'fattening' and why some fats are good for us. What exactly is inflammation? How does it affect us? What is good stress vs bad stress. What are empty calories and what kind of calories are good for us. Also, what are essential fatty acids, why do we need them? What good are supplements to us? Do we need them? And how do we find the good ones? We'll work on daily goals, weekly and then monthly goals. We'll talk hydration, movement and mind set. I believe what has been sorely missing over this Covid time is education on building your own immune system. It's CRITICAL. And this is the stuff I know well. I used to run a hugely successful live program called 'Roll Back your Body's Odometer' - with Covid now, everything has turned online, so this is my 'Odometer Rollback' online version. Still with loads of food, movement and self image love being delivered. We'll talk style tips too. I'll pull my old stylist hat on and chat about body shape, make up, hair tips etc. Would something like this be of interest? Yes it would be a monthly paid group. Under $35 a month, I'm thinking around $29.95 for loads of info. My head over the years is so full of nutritional and movement information I want to get it out there. But I'm also passionate about how the ageing woman feels about herself. When you feel good about yourself, your body and body image, you really can do anything. So if you're keen, let me know. Here on thread or PM me if you prefer. I'll send you how the payments will work and bring you into the group. With love and vibrant health.... Let's get through this Covid period whether it's months or even years, shining brighter than ever. Anne

10.01.2022 Coffee is always better in a great cup.

09.01.2022 High winds around for the next few days. Well dehydrate like crazy if were not careful. My giant water bottle has one (yes only one) chopped strawberry in it. A big one. . Stay healthy and hydrated.

08.01.2022 Get out in the sun and do something fun.

08.01.2022 Would you like to join me on my jam packed 6 week health program? Who needs to make New Years resolutions when we can start thinking healthy for the upcoming season.

08.01.2022 I know, it’s Christmas time. The land of sugar and treats. But think hard. Is the sugar overload worth it? Join me in my 6 week ‘Get Healthy with Anne’ program only $29.95. DM for details.

08.01.2022 Always listen to the body, it knows better.

08.01.2022 Light weights are great to use in your yoga practice. They provide an added resistance as well as using our own body weight. And with age, weights and constant resistance is critical to maintain muscle. Sarcopenia, loss of muscle tone, is ever present with age. But it’s avoidable. . . #muscletone #ageingandmuscle... #sarcopenia #muscleswhileageing See more

07.01.2022 What the hell it’s Sunday. Time to chill over a wine or Netflix.

06.01.2022 Covid kilos be gone, silly summer season on it's way, how does a girl cope? Let's do this together.

05.01.2022 In my online program Friday’s are about stretch and meditation. Never underestimate the power of deep long held stretch. The kind of stretch that makes you go ‘ewwwaaarrgghhh’. 05.01.2022 I was over 50 when I walked into my first yoga studio. It was hot yoga. I was menopausal, flushed, overheated, overweight and over it. But its the best thing I ever did. 10 years later, Im almost through the menopausal phase and into the next. Im really looking forward to the next phase of age. Am I sleek and slim? Not at all. I still have a middle. But Im totally at ease now with my shape but particularly happy with my strength and sense of release and fle...xibility. Yoga has given me a freedom I never knew before. For the ageing body - and that means from 35 onwards - its like a deep inner therapeutic massage. If youve been frightened of it because of all the gorgeous pics of young fabulous bodies on Instagram, dont be. Talk to me. It could be just what your body is crying out for.

05.01.2022 Get your stretch on and talk to me about my online classes. Live classes every weekday morning and short 15 minute flows in the afternoon. Including meditation and nutrition chats. And dont worry about having to make the classes at set set times. Theyre all up there for you to access at any time. PM for details. I work with the 40, 50 and 60 plus woman who wants vibrant health forever. . . #onlineyoga #yogaforoverfifties... #seniorsrock #silveryogi #yogaformatureage #yogatoagewell See more

05.01.2022 Just because you’re over 50 or 60, don’t be fearful of what you think your body can no longer do. We can become consumed by fear if we allow it. Your body seriously wants to move and show you what it’s capable of. No fancy schmancy impossible power poses just functional movement and strength. . . #strongsixties #overfiftiesyoga... #yogabrisbane #matureageyoga #privateyogaclasses See more

04.01.2022 Do you live in the Ascot, Hamilton, Nudgee, Newstead and surrounding areas? This is a gentle, yin deep stretch class. 6pm on Wednesday.

04.01.2022 Friday is deep stretch day. Another reason to love Friday.

04.01.2022 Life changing seed bread and bullet coffee. Love it.

04.01.2022 One can never have too many pairs of leggings. It takes any questions or confusion about what to wear out of the equation. Its my daily uniform.

03.01.2022 Stretch it out. It always feels better. Physical or emotional, the body responds to deep, slow, gentle stretch even if you think youre hardly moving. The body can sometimes feel like a lump of concrete but with patience, the release can feel amazing.

03.01.2022 Socially distanced refresher CPR and first aide. Keeping up my skills with the hope Ill never have to use them.

03.01.2022 This is a quick simple move you can do any time during the day to release tight neck and shoulders.

03.01.2022 Namaste people. It’s Friday and Facebook filters are my new fabbo discovery. Pity I can’t walk around all day wearing my makeup filter.

01.01.2022 My article, titled why we do what we do is in the latest WNA magazine. Just not my own but so many more gritty chunky articles that are worth the read.
