21.01.2022 I met with a business owner in town today who said the government delivered income tax relief and the City put their hand in my pocket and just took it straight out. Business is hurting, pensioners are hurting, families are hurting. I am listening. Vote @Anne Ryan For Council for strong community representation and leadership.

19.01.2022 It has been a busy time with "meet the candidate" functions; Chamber of Commerce (Busselton and Dunsborough), Pt Geographe Landowners Association AGM. I addressed the Busselton Mens Shed yesterday and have spoken with many representatives of clubs in and around the City. Some of the issues I have heard so far: Planning issues and red tape, Eastern Link/Ford Road, Pt Geographe SAR, Rates, CBD's of Busselton and Dunsborough needs help, lack of consultation and/or a feeling o...f not being heard, climate change, rubbish, accommodation provider concerns, the Airport, sports grounds, and much more. 07.01.2022 I was out and about this morning early at the Rotary Markets. It was fantastic to see the many stall holders selling their wares and nice to see the sunshine. Once again these are the people who get up at the crack of dawn to sell their product, drawing not only locals, but visitors from all over Australia to our region. A shout out to the Rotarians who also get up at dawn and set things up and man the Rotary stand. Once again, the issues which are predominant are: the high r...ates; many people are struggling. The Council should do something about the Busselton CBD (although some great ideas were discussed with me). No-one is listening; they don’t go to Council meetings any more, its a waste of time as Councillors have already made up their minds. Ford Road, the Busselton industrial area. The Airport, and more. A vote for @anneryanforcouncil will deliver strong community representation and leadership. Whilst I can’t address all the issues on the flyer many people have raised some extremely important points. Remember though, I can’t do anything unless I am elected.

04.01.2022 I visited the Vasse Markets this morning. Well done to those individuals who are trying to get more vendors and more foot traffic at those markets. Your support of the people who get out of bed on a weekend to sell their wares, from fruit & veg to cakes, artworks, and much, much more is important. Then onto the Lions Shed, another fantastic community initiative (I am a frequent visitor) and those who give their time to causes such as this are also to be commended. Dunsbor...ough was my next port of call and the businesses in the new LIA. The issues once again are: What is business getting for its buck? Ford Road/Eastern Link, the tender process, rates are killing many, the City is not listening, safety measures outside the cinema for seniors, where are the rates being spent and is it a necessary thing, don’t vote because no-one listens anyway, too many consultants - can’t the employed staff do this work, planning issues, the Airport and much much more.
