25.01.2022 Australia Post has made dire warnings of delivery delays over the festive period, so I would recommend jewellery needed for Christmas be organised this week :) I will continue to post a couple of items daily until Friday but I won't have time to show it to you. PM me if you need something and I can see if I have it . Please note that custom work and restringing repairs are now closed until mid December. ... This necklace is made with amethyst and citrine and cultured pearls, knotted in between each gemstone on soft-gold coloured silk with a 14ct gold fill clasp. Wear it long or doubled and shine all day <3 105.5cm long $150 plus postage. PM me if you would like to make it yours :)

24.01.2022 It still feels rather wintry here so I will be snuggling in the studio today. I have to chain myself to the bench, a number of last minute items to make for the Mudgee Makers Market on Saturday. Tomorrow I will have to double check the stock and make sure everything is tagged and packed up. I always forget how much time it takes to get prepared for a market and on the day itself I had better get there early and have plenty of set up time as its been 11 months since I l...ast set up for a single day show! Today I am sharing another beautiful necklace with you that I hand knotted on pink silk - a long one of rose quartz and white cultured pearls. The rose quartz is all hand carved and it contasts perfectly with the smooth pearls. Can also be worn doubled. 93cm long $235 plus postage. SOLD

22.01.2022 ^Good morning! I have been away from FB for the last week helping Farmer Piper now that the girls have gone back to uni. I have been classed as a "very useful engine" after helping to work out a way to clear a blocked water pipe AND finding a leak in said water pipe. (Sometimes he needs a different point of view ;) AND he needs a girl to look, as he consistently just has a 'boy' look i.e. he doesn't look closely or slowly enough!. Evidence of the water leak was as smal...l as a hoofprint with some water laying in it, hidden by the long grass). The mice have taken a steep decline in population in the studio. I am not sure if we have removed them all, but I can't hear any rustling or squeaking as I sit here this morning which is a good sign! I do have kamikaze birds hitting the studio windows however ... (there's always one in a mob/flock etc!) I am back to the bench, finally, today, doing some much awaited work as I have had colour combinations and designs floating through my head all week :D Today is a necklace I finished just before the girls went back (I am going to miss my jewellery models!). Summer will never be too far away with this gorgeous combination <3 Made with aquamarine pebbles, Peruvian blue opals, icy clear rock crystal quartz and white cultured pearls and a sterling clasp. Each of the gems and pearls have been hand knotted on to turquoise blue silk for a stunning necklace 117cm long. Being individually knotted it is super supple and its length enables you to wear it so many different ways so it will work with multiple necklines. This wonderful blue also looks fabulous against dark hues in the cooler months, so don't just consider it a summer necklace :D $235 plus postage. PM me if you would like to make this one of a kind necklace yours <3

22.01.2022 As its Friday afternoon, though I would share another pair of earrings with you! These are made iwth tiger iron (an ironstone with veins of tiger iron running through it) in 14ct gold fill. I think these would look great in a casual to half-dressy sort of occasion, where would you wear them? 4.7cm long $70 plus postage. PM me if you want to make them yours (only one pair!)

22.01.2022 I ended up having a very enjoyable day at the bench yesterday with many pieces finished off that I am excited to show you when I get them photographed. I have been told that the Makers Market in Mudgee on the Saturday of the October long weekend has the go ahead from Council, this is rather exciting as it will be my first show this year! Amazing to think I haven't taken my jewels anywhere since Toowoomba last December! Today's earrings are all about elegance. Gorgeous ...forest green coloured (colour treated) cultured pearls under sterling silver filigree earhooks <3 Approximately 4.1cm long $70 plus postage PM me if you would like to make these beautiful drops yours :D

22.01.2022 Welcome to the weekend! Hayfever has hit the females of the household, so stepping out into the pollen-filled wind has become a chore we avoid for more than a couple of minutes. It was something we didn't have to worry about over the last few years of drought, so it has caught us out a bit, complacently looking at the grasses and trees flowering. Then suddenly sneezles, itchy skin and eyes hit us all. (I'm allergic to rye grass, not a desirable allergy on a farm!) Fortuna...tely Farmer Piper and Farmer Piper Jr don't get hayfever, so they get ALL the outside jobs to themselves ;) As I attempt to stay mostly inside away from the pollen (unless it rains which settles it down for a day or so), I get more bench time! I have lots of ideas flying around in my head, so hopefully I get to make them reality soon. This pair of earrings are made with shiny grey-black hematite with an art-deco sort of cut and topped with purple amethyst, rose-pink rhodonite and pinkish orisissa garnet, in sterling silver of course. 4cm long, $70 plus postage. PM me if you would like to make these pretties yours <3 Enjoy your day!

21.01.2022 I'm running a bit late today, but seeing a new pair of earrings is always welcome no matter the time, right? ;) These pretty earrings are what I have called rainbow slides. I have handwrapped a row of different gemstone along the front of handmade sterling silver earwires for a delicate line of colour. Gems in these earrings are blue-purple tanzanite, neon blue apatite, dark blue-green apatite, green onyx, grassy green peridot, lemon quartz, orange carnelian, pink-red rhodolite garnet and red almandine garnet. 3.2cm long, $90 plus postage. PM me if you would like to make these yours <3

21.01.2022 Major drama time yesterday with Farmer Piper letting the pet husky wander free at "Autumn Hills" (where he has only been a handful of times) and then realised he had "gone"! Numerous phone calls and messages to neighbours, hours of searching and stress, finally a neighbour found him ... he was tired out and saw a human so headed towards them, but couldn't get through a plain wire fence, couldn't jump on the back of the truck unaided and has been walking stiffly since. No ...doubt he was on the trail of something and chasing roos or similiar. Did he run through thistles or fall down a wombat hole or was it just over exertion? For the amount of time he was gone and the speed in which he runs each day (we exercise him by letting him run next to the quad) averaging about 30km/hr and his endurance with fitness/breed/age, he could have easily gone a LONG way. We are glad to have him back, but I think he may be considering a domestic life is a bit easier than running wild! Consequently I got nothing done, but have a mostly free day today so hopefully I will have a productive day at the bench. Today is a simple stretch bracelet of black tourmaline and white cultured peals. I had a custom order for 2 black tourmaline bracelets recently ( black tourmaline is considered a very protective stone) and had enough stones left over for one more bracelet, so decided to make another one :) Will fit a medium sized wrist. $50 plus postage. SOLD <3

20.01.2022 I tweaked my back this morning cleaning out the fire...which means I am basically sitting and not doing a lot , as every time I move it "grabs" me! Exciting news, the Mudgee Makers Market is on this Saturday!! From 8.30am till 12.30pm, in Robertson Park. This will be my FIRST event this year if you can believe that, so I am looking forward to it (and looking after my back now so I will be fine for Saturday!). If you are visiting for the long weekend or will be around, ...do pop in and say hello and check out the many new jewels <3 This pair of earrings will be with me...unless they get snapped up here first! Lots of smoky quartz, lots of pearls and sterling silver and lots of movement in a pair of earrings that truly are like a chandelier, moving gently and sparkling in the light <3 One of a kind, they are approximately 6cm long and $150 plus postage . PM me if you want to make a statement in these and make them yours <3

19.01.2022 Woah... new look facebook ... trying it out. Hmmmm, can't I have the old one back?

18.01.2022 I am currently in Canberra settling Miss M into her new abode! She begins her new life as a student at Canberra Institute of Technology tomorrow studying Interior Design. Exciting times ahead (although Farmer Piper and I will have an empty nest most of the year which will take a bit of getting used to!) Today's necklace is beautiful mix of lilac-pink and white, with pebbles of kunzite and white cultured pearls, each individually hand knotted onto pink silk. A 14ct gold fill clasp means you can wear it long or doubled depending on your outfit. This is a very classy necklace with an easy elegance that will instantly dress up your look when doubled, or is a little more casual worn long. 106cm long $215 plus postage. PM me to make it yours <3

16.01.2022 Quite a bit done yesterday, but it doesn't feel like enough! Lets see how I go today! Here are some turquoise earrings for you - these a flat drops, very lightweight but large enough to grab attention and provide that pop of beautiful blue colour that we all love, especially in summer, perhaps because their colour reminds of holidays in the sunshine and the colour of the Meditteranean? Natural turquoise in sterling silver, these are 3.4cm long and $95 plus postage. SOLD

12.01.2022 ^ Everyone was up early with the sun this morning, so the house has been busy .... Farmer Piper left to move cattle here at "Peridot" and then he is heading down to Farmer Piper Jr's at "Autumn Hills" to plough a firebreak... Miss M has headed back to Mudgee for her week of work...Miss C is rushing to and fro before a hair appointment this morning and I have been ducking and weaving between everyone's rushing attempting to listen to what everyone needs to tell me. (I miss th...ese sorts of mornings when the girls are both gone!) To celebrate the beautiful spring day here (its already warm and hinting that summer isn't too far away) a really stunning pair of statement earrings! White cultured pearls with a half circle of rainbow gems (purple amethyst, rose-pink rhodonite, pinkish Orissa garnet, red-pink rhodolite garnet, red-orange almandine garnet, orange carnelian, lime-lemon quartz, grass green peridot and neon green onyx! Mother nature truly is wondrous in her colours <3 On long sterling silver hooks these beauties are 4.8cm long and $155 plus pus postage. PM me if you would like to make them yours <3

11.01.2022 Guilty as charged!

10.01.2022 Farmer Piper decided to start cutting some of the oats to make into hay yesterday and is getting Farmer Piper Jr started on doing the same at "Hazelmere". Later I have to go to Coolah and put in a couple of hours at the gallery and get some farm supplies while I'm at it. So I foresee one of those "bitsy" sorts of day for me! Have you joined my jewellery group? I have started to list the last of my designer pairs there this week. All are one of a kind and each one contains super special gems. If you are an earring lover, best not miss out! https://www.facebook.com/groups/annettepiperjewellery/

10.01.2022 So much cooler here today on the Great Dividing Range making for a more energetic start to the day! Rich orange carnelian earrings in sterling silver for you today! Isn't the colour divine? Beautifully cut to show off the gemstone, I have kept these in a simple sterling silver setting. With the cooler months ahead these would be a wonderful choice to add some colour to the darker colours we all go for. (But until then, wear them white, naturals and bold colours!) $65 plus postage. SOLD!

09.01.2022 The last of the knotted necklaces I have managed to get done. This one combines classic blue and white - wear it long or doubled at different lengths, depending on your neckline. Super supple and a delight to wear! Long royal blue lapis lazuli and cultured pearl necklace knotted on blue silk <3 105.5cm $180 plus postage.

08.01.2022 At the Makers Market in Mudgee. Here till 12.30pm, come on down!

07.01.2022 I was up late last night organising for tomorrow's market. As the market had to get special permission to operate with the continuing COVID-19 restrictions, I assume there will be requirements on how we set up, numbers allowed in our spaces etc. so I have plans drawn up of how things might work. Not used to doing shows and then throwing this requirement in is making my head spin lol What better way of dealing with this stress, than turning to my gems! I love the colour o...f amazonite and find it very calming, Indeed its metaphysical qualities recommend it as the anti-anxiety and anti-stress medication of the crystal world, bringing tranquility and a can-do attitude! Dating back to ancient times, the brilliant blue-green hue of the Amazonite was used in the opulent emperor tombs of Egypt. Tutankhamen's famous gold mask has amazonite with lapis lazuli and carnelian. Often regarded as a good luck charm, it was also a distinctive element in jewelry design, particularly with ancient Indians, who inserted the gem into rings, pendants, and earrings. This necklace is made with smooth balls of high quality amazonite, dotted with white cultured pearls, knotted on turquoise coloured silk with a sterling silver clasp. It feels glorious on and will be perfect for the warmer months to come (but will still look fab against darker colours next winter). A flattering 55cm long, it is $180 plus postage SOLD <3

07.01.2022 Heading back home today having Miss M all settled in here in the ACT. While I head home, here is a necklace I finished last week - stunning periwinkle blue is the order of the day with this one! Blue lace agate pebbles, matched with white cultured pearls and sprinkled with silver coated pyrite hearts, each one handknotted onto royal blue silk. 108cm long. One only $225 plus postage. PM me to make it yours <3

02.01.2022 It has turned chilly again and the fire is out so I have rugged up instead...hope I don't have to move too much as it could be difficult lol. I have been doing so much knotting of people's pearls over the last few months so I decided to do a few knotted necklaces (apart from plain pearl strands) for my range too. Knotting gives extra suppleness to the necklace which is appreciated by many. This necklace suits the dull weather today - it makes me feel cosy just looking at ...it! A delicate and light necklace of faceted agate in mostly browns and greens (treated) and pearls in silver, gold and bronze (also treated). On black silk and knotted between each gemstone and pearl, this necklace is 49.5cm (19.5") long and has a sterling silver hook style clasp. $150 plus postage. PM me if you would like to make it yours <3

02.01.2022 ^Good morning! Wow Saturday at the Makers Market brought lots of people out and about, stunning (almost hot) weather with NO wind (yay, the market gods were with us!) and lots of jewels found new homes (and quite a few are destined to be placed under Christmas trees, if they can wait that long!). The set up this time was very different to follow the market's covid safe rules. I usually try to make my space as welcoming to customers as I can, they can come in and browse ...in the shade, touch as much as they want and so on. This time we weren't allowed to set up for the people to come in to my space, they could only go to the front. The front table had to be covered in plastic so that it could wiped down, a double table depth at the front for social distancing, everything on the first front table had to be in cases that could be wiped down as well. People definitely enjoyed the market, a rarity for us this year! On the downside, Miss M and I were absolutely exhausted by the end of the day. Hayfever had also taken its toll (even though we had taken medication before we left) and I fell asleep on the couch at 4pm (an hour after we got home) and then I still went to bed at 8.30pm! A classically styled necklace for you today of royal blue lapis lazuli and pearls. This is such a classic combination of blue and white and is so easy to pair with summer or winter colours. With summer coming up I would be wearing this with a navy shirt dress or white linen top and trousers! Another of my knotted pieces, this has been hand knotted onto blue silk and has a sterling silver clasp. 52.5cm long (20 3/4") long $195 plus postage. PM me if you would like to make this classic beauty yours <3
