23.01.2022 There’s something very comforting about playing with black-and-white when you’re feeling under par.

23.01.2022 Open Studios sunshine coast is gearing up! This should be a very exciting weekend to be out and about meeting artists and seeing their work. Proud to be a part of it.

22.01.2022 The shape of water.

22.01.2022 I love the bright red leaves that are being shared from the trees along the creek at the moment. Couldn’t resist reproducing them large-scale.

21.01.2022 It was a great day for painting today and in between showers of rain I got a walk. Queensland winter is so mild it’s no hardship at all.

21.01.2022 Upcoming workshop with Kym Barrett "Abstracting the Landscape" Mark-Making and Collage. This will be a fantastic two-day (3-4th October) workshop. Starting off ...in the beautiful Mary Caincross Reserve. At this stage, we will be in Kym's words, "Responding quickly with your own unique marks, charcoal and paint without needing to accurately record what’s there. The focus will be on a tonal interpretation, mark-making and expressive response." After a morning spent doing this, we will be going to the workshop space at "The Zone" to continue the magic.... 21.01.2022 Letting off steam while we attempt to do our tax returns my least favourite thing.

20.01.2022 Daily walk. Spectacular sky colour and the trees are about to burst. We Don’t have many deciduous trees here and I always love marking the season with these three sisters.

20.01.2022 I’ve been playing with making paper leaves inspired by the brilliant red river gum leaves and in my walks I picked up this giant fiddle fig leaf, absolutely stunning.

20.01.2022 Printing ginger leaves while my big project simmers in my brain

19.01.2022 I’m not sure which came first the art or the nature. Lovely decaying piece of fence post I found on my walk today.

19.01.2022 These colours make me feel so joyous on a rainy Sunday .As often happens when I’m painting a song will come into my mind and today it’s lazy Sunday afternoon got no time to worry close my eyes and drift away. The Small Faces.

18.01.2022 Make Your own Kind of Music was Buzzing through my brain when I painted this. When I paint for the sheer joy of painting with no agenda in mind surprising things happen. Acrylic on canvas 1.02 x 1.02 m.

18.01.2022 I love sharing my studio space with budding artists. I love the colour choices and the ever evolving stories that go with the art.

16.01.2022 Photos like this are often such an inspiration for my art work. Not that I have a paint them exactly but sometimes it’s the meeting of the horizontal and vertical or the colour on the horizon that sings to me.

15.01.2022 Yellow to me denotes positivity and happiness so what better way to start the new year then with yellow doodles! Good health and happiness to all

07.01.2022 Wouldn’t it be interesting to know why when I look out my window and see rolling green hills I paint them in these ochre colours. Because the soil here is red as red can be or is it the energy of these colours that I love?

06.01.2022 Tickling the creative urges
