25.01.2022 Our land is sacred, our trees are sacred, our Country is sacred. The Djab Wurrung birthing trees have seen 50 generations of women give birth on Country. These ...are spirit trees, and have supported Djab Wurrung people for 800 years. A highway upgrade has threatened the trees and Djab Wurrung people have been calling on all Australians to support them to stop bulldozers from destroying Country and the sacred birthing trees. We shared these images just over a year ago, at one of the crisis points in protecting the trees. We are devastated to hear that the directions tree was cut down yesterday after protesters were removed from the site. The directions tree is an incredibly important tree for Djab Wurrung people and holds significant storylines, spirit and connection for mob. Our heart goes out to all Djab Wurrung people, who have been working to protect Country. This is absolutely heartbreaking. The @dwemembassy is now on red alert and need your support in fighting to protect all the remaining birthing trees. 19.01.2022 Spring Equinox has passed and the things that are being left behind to go back to ashes, so the energy can be released and go back into the abundant abyss. The memory code that I had been making at the residency over the past weeks, has come to an end. The embodied learning is so rich. I will begin the next chapter of this work at the Gympie Regional Gallery on the 10th of October.

06.01.2022 Bottle Brush ran away she found it hard to be a mother, she felt to prickly, spread and stretched into too many different directions. The beauty held within had such a hard time finding its way to the surface. A storm would come and wash away all the bundled red stamens leaving only the empty fruiting capsules. 05.01.2022 I'm finding that science is creating a fear based approach to everything, this is from a report in the New York Times about fertility in males dropping 60% since 1973, which is in itself alarming, however I shake my head and come back to my own decisions of what I choose to use and where I choose to spend my money, yes sometimes its inevitable, but if enough of us in the world (of those that have true choice) stand up and educate or just listen to our own bodies responses to ...things and make change, true change.... then big corporations may not have a choice but to listen... here is a list of possible disrupters..... "These endocrine disruptors are everywhere: plastics, shampoos, cosmetics, cushions, pesticides, canned foods and A.T.M. receipts. They often aren’t on labels and can be difficult to avoid." 03.01.2022 Artist Talk - Final Week of Artist in Residence Maroochy Botanic Gardens Bringing the 6 weeks together was very satisfying, in the new COVID19 regulated way, I had the opportunity to do four artist talks with small groups of six. This was so beautiful, the perfect number to be able to take the time to share the key points of the work that had evolved, and then to have time and space to have conversation with the small group and speak one on one with most people. I found this ...a much more personal way to connect and share and will look at this format again for any future talks. I am also very grateful that the talk was recorded and here is the relatively uncut version. If you have any questions that I didn’t answer or would like to share some of your own responses, please message me by return email. 02.01.2022 Cats ear Flower Essence made with my inspiring plant friend @pheobekay This essence is perfect for my week, Opening my mind and allowing greater perspective and possibilities. These little yellow flowers often mistaken for Dandelions, @heidimerika has a fantastic book ‘Wildcraft’ that has so much information on plant ID medicinal and folklore uses. This book is by my side constantly. The Petals of the Cats Ear (Hypochoeris radicata) were so beautiful, I couldn’t help taking sooo many photos And I’ve started taking the Essence this week just a few drops in my water bottle each day.

02.01.2022 #selflove I’m hearing so many conversations from people about change and self development. I was thinking about this yesterday, and I am aware of a deep rooted belief that from an early age I was wrong, who I was needed to be changed or fixed... now I’m beginning to realize that if I can actually accept exactly who I am here and now and that includes all of my shadow side, only then can I truely understand self love. While I’m still pushing parts away, judging and feeling ina...dequate I still have work to do, gentle, love and working on awareness and unconditional acceptance of all of myself. Society and our culture has a way of making us 'wrong' and of us wanting in turn to make others 'wrong' this means we become intolerent and jugemental everytime our viewpoint or reality is not reflected back to us in what others say and do. COVID19 is a huge example of this. See more
