23.01.2022 Yep that'd be me Competition is a part of our lives from sports to education to our careers. In life we can use being competitive to our advantage, assisting us in making faster progress towards the outcomes we want. It doesn't always have to be about trying to win (although that is fun) it's also about getting better at what we do & who we become. Competing against ourselves, challenging ourselves to do better than what we've do...ne in the past. That's where the growth comes from, the motivation to always improve, the clearer picture of our goals, the perseverance & the resilience to handle anything that comes before us. If being competitive is causing us to grow & improve, whilst being respectful of others, then it’s something we should embrace. Being competitive to be the best version of ourselves, can only assist us to become more successful & create a better life. What ways do you use your competitive nature to take you to the next level? #fitnessjourney #personaltrainer #motivation #inspiration #empower #healthylifestyle #competitive #determined #successful See more

23.01.2022 Yep it's the truth! No matter what sort of movement we are doing with our bodies...something is better than nothing. I think it's important to remember not all workouts have to be a 45 minute session, that has you dripping in sweat. Many studies show that regular exercise (yes even walking) is one of the BEST things you can do for your health. Plus it can also aid in reducing the risk for a range of other lifestyle related conditions. ... We all have to start somewhere. What if I challenged you to get up and go for a 10 minute walk today...does that sound achievable? Challenge yourself to do that each day for a week, actually get it done, and feel great about yourself. Then the following week stretch it to 20 or 30 minutes a day, imagine how good you will feel. If you make that promise to yourself, to commit to move your body purposefully, you start to create a habit, you start to become an 'exerciser'. Every time you keep that commitment to yourself, to your body, to your health, you are reinforcing exercise as a daily habit that you just do....with no regrets! So hands up, who is going to make that commitment to move their body purposefully every day? - - - - - - #fitnessjourney #personaltrainer #motivation #inspiration #empower #healthylifestyle #runnymede #toolleen #elmore #noregrets #moveyourbody See more

20.01.2022 Hey peeps it's me...Kristy...I've been MIA lately due to a health related concern that stopped me in my tracks. It's a big relief to have the all clear and finally be able to get back into training and helping others with their health and fitness goals. The past month (hell perhaps I should say 2020) has been a roller coaster of emotional and physical ups and downs. Nonetheless it has given me the opportunity to learn to utilise my inner strength for the ...benefit of myself and others around me. To have the courage to strive for greater things and trust my intuition. I'm really excited to have lots of new ideas floating around my mind on how I can best assist others with their health and fitness goals. So hold on to your knickers (if you're wearing them) and join me on this new journey, where together we can soar to greater heights!! xx See more

14.01.2022 Set a goal Develop a plan Make it happen! START KILLIN' IT

14.01.2022 Changing behaviour requires a strong purpose, a motivator & for me it's investing in my personal health, fitness & athletic performance. Creating change forces you to be driven, to broaden your abilities & knowledge & to regularly set new goals. For years, like many I enjoyed drinking alcohol most week nights & having more than a few on the weekends. I loved the fun I would experience & the social interactions I encountered. However, I... hated the way I felt the next day, the foggy head, loss of memory, lack of energy & at times the nausea . So 12 months ago (the day after this picture was taken) I thought what if I give up alcohol for a month...better yet what if I set a goal of not drinking for a year?? Challenge accepted...a YEAR it would be! Fast forward 365 days I successfully ditched the booze & haven't looked back The process went pretty smoothly, I wasn’t tempted, I didn't miss it, I attended social events & still had fun, & I even managed to get through homeschooling 4 kids without touching a drop . My driver always being the determination to see out the goal I set. The positives more energy, more productive, stir of ambition, ate better, exercised & recovered better & slept better. Ultimately the biggest takeaway was...you don't need to listen to anyone but yourself when you're doing something different to status quo...be brave enough to do things differently I wouldn't say I won't drink again...but for now I'll try another year & see what that brings. NOTE - this post is not intended to suggest that everyone must give up alcohol...all I'm saying is that YOU have the control to make change in your life, YOU dictate the direction it's just a matter of knowing which direction you're heading & what your driving force is to get there. What's your driver? See more

12.01.2022 Anyone else relate?

11.01.2022 Progress pictures...awkward & a little daunting...but they are a very useful tool. The picture on the left was taken 4 months after having my 4th child. As you can tell, by the look on my face, I wasn't in a good place. BUT these progress photos illustrate how far I've come both physically & emotionally. On the right my body looks different aesthetically but I'm also standing stronger, taller & more confident within my own abilities than I have ever before. ... It's no secret that sustainable progress takes time. Creating new habits takes time. It has taken a lot of learning, a lot of self development & understanding that striving for mind & body improvement is a lifelong journey. The quick fix diets didn't work for me, I needed a long term plan for health & fitness that was going to give me the tools & knowledge for long term success. Insert the expertise & support of Eliza Williams best decision I ever made! Don't get me wrong, I'm not 100% perfect with my exercise & nutrition every week (yes I do eat junk food) & I've had to navigate through various challenges. BUT through resilience & determination I've worked hard for what I believe in...& I keep leveling up. My mindset, eating habits & workout schedule have completely changed & evolved over the past 6 years. I understand exercise alone won't get results but teamed with the right nutrition & a positive support team I can achieve my goals. I'm so grateful for what my body can do (both physically & mentally). This journey thus far has instilled a passion in me for helping others who aren't brave enough to make a start. By gaining my qualifications as a Nutrition coach & my Cert 4 in fitness I hope I can help others achieve their health & fitness goals too. So...let's embark on YOUR lifelong health & fitness journey..together! #fitnessjourney #personaltrainer #motivation #inspiration #empower #healthylifestyle See more

11.01.2022 Appreciating our bodies for what they are capable of, for what they can achieve when we set our mind on something, a goal, a vision, is truly an amazing feeling of empowerment. After having 4 kids & watching my body go through so many changes over a course of 10 years, I accepted it would never resemble the body it used to be. BUT i'll be damned if I was going to allow myself to think I couldn't improve it, make it stronger, leaner, fitter, healthier, more ...powerful, boosting my performance & overall well-being. This journey has been & will continue to be an ever changing & an ever evolving process for me. Working closely with my coach Eliza Williams - Athlete / Nutrition Coach for the past 2 years on my health & nutrition has been one of the most fulfilling & rewarding experiences. (Heck it inspired me to become a qualified PT & help others achieve their health & fitness goals). Everyone has different goals, values & things that are important to them, for me I set the wheels in motion in January to work towards a goal of a photo shoot - for business promotion & to celebrate how far I've come as an athlete. Obstacles certainly rose (COVID, homeschooling, loss of loved ones) but I didn't let them get in my way! I worked hard, I was determined, I persevered & I challenged my limits every day. RESULT - a feeling of accomplishment, of strength & empowerment, of knowing I am a positive role model for my family & friends, of creating a new future for myself, taking my organisation skills to new level, managing sleep & stress & a feeling of F yeah I did this...I'm proud Goals are exciting, challenging & scary all rolled into one. Some people will knock you for them...& others will support you...those ones are your TRIBE...they will lift you up, encourage you, want to see you succeed & will be happy for you. Surround yourself with these people because this energy is contagious. I did & look what happened. Tell me what's your GOAL? Whose your TRIBE? Sneak peek In the Vines Creative See more

08.01.2022 AH JUST KIDDING...OR AM I??? Going into this process the second time around we are (I am) making a conscious effort to stress less and enjoy the process. We have even set up a new learning space to create a sense of positive energy. The important thing is we are staying home and keeping safe. When we can't control what's happening, lets challenge ourselves to control the way we respond to what's happening. That's where the power is! ... 08.01.2022 SUNDAY MEAL PREP The last few weeks I've got back into meal prepping on a Sunday I love this process because it ... saves time allows me to be organsied for the week ahead assists me in working towards my health & fitness goals There are various ways to meal prep, you don’t have to stand in the kitchen for an entire Sunday afternoon. It's about finding a meal preparation style that is suitable to your goals, daily routine & relevant to your lifestyle. Some meal prep suggestions:- Make-ahead meals: Handy for dinner time meals where you cook full meals in advance which can be refrigerated and reheated at mealtimes. Batch cooking: Popular for lunch or dinner options you make large batches of a specific recipe, then split it into individual portions to be frozen and eaten over the next few months. Individually portioned meals: Great for lunch or snacks, preparing fresh meals and allocating them into individual grab-and-go portions to be refrigerated and eaten over the next few days. Ready-to-cook ingredients: Prepping the ingredients required for specific meals ahead of time as a way to cut down on cooking time in the kitchen. Meal prepping doesn’t have to be complex. Basic steps can help you cut back on cooking time, freeing you up for the activities that matter most pinterest

07.01.2022 WELL-BEING WEDNESDAY! well-being noun: the state of being comfortable, healthy, or happy. ... As I mentioned in my stories earlier today, my younger two billy lids have had a day off school today...Wellbeing Wednesday. The intention of this day was to take a breath from the busyness of home learning and relax. I think this has been a great initiative and I encourage all of you to stop and think about what you can do for your well-being. What is it that you can do to make sure you're looking after yourself, taking the time for some self-care and being happy and healthy. Maybe its preparing some healthy snacks , moving your body , listening to your favourite music , taking a power nap or enjoying your morning coffee out in the sunshine . Keep in mind that there is no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to well-being and self-care, so find what works for you and go with it . Happy Wednesday peeps! See more
