10.01.2022 STORAGE SOLUTIONS IS MY JAM This makes me happy! If there’s a home organisation show, I’ve watched it. If there’s a system that resonates, I implement it. ... I’ve paid for online courses, I follow blogs, I save ALOT of screenshoots! My rules of thumb: everything must have a home. If it doesn’t have a spot to live and be returned to, it doesn’t belong here one in/one out. If I buy a new shirt, I try to find an old one that I don’t wear anymore to donate/trash when implementing or tweaking systems, I trial it with reused storage solutions (shoe boxes/something from the kids box collage tray etc) before I rush out to purchase the fancy, pretty ones once a system is working, I try to educate the family on what it is and why we do it. I repeat myself a lot! The twins are just starting to put dirty clothes in the laundry (on the floor), whereas Clara is starting to put dirty clothes in the labelled basket for whites/colours/towels etc. both of these options are far better for my sanity than clothes being left wherever they decided to take them off Confession: Sometimes, I open a cupboard or drawer just to admire the organisation #sadiknow If you follow any great organisation blogs, let me know.

07.01.2022 It’s a dryer kinda day It’s been raining for days and it’s forecast to be like this for several more days. I hanging the washing in the sun. Sunshine is amazing at lightening stains and so good to remove odour and bacteria. ... But when you’ve got a laundry full of dirty and wet clothes, it’s dryer time. So in goes 3 wool dryer balls with 3-4 drops of my fave oil. Dryer balls help reduce tumble drying time, soften clothing and bedding and reduce static and wrinkles. Some items of clothing may not need to be ironed after being tossed in the dryer with these balls, and I that! It’s totally not necessary to add oils to the dryer, but why not have sheets that smell like a field of lavender! If you don’t have dryer balls, you can make your own by cutting up a microfibre cloth and adding your oils before throwing into the dryer. Comment below, your fave oils to add to your dryer?

01.01.2022 Keep those diffusers working! A weekly deep clean is recommended if your diffuser is used daily. If it’s used a few times a week, a deep clean monthly is fine. ... For in between cleans, fill a 30ml spray bottle with 10 drops of lemon, a 1/3rd vinegar and top with cooled boiled water. Keep it by your frequently used diffusers, spray and wipe out. This will extend the life of your diffuser
