The Conference will raise awareness and unravel potential solutions to the diverse issues often resulting from domestic violence such as mental health, suicide, bullying, drugs & alcohol, crime, gambling, child sexual abuse, homelessness and unemployment. ‘DV SnapShots Lifting the Lid’ will run from Friday 17th to Saturday 18th October 2014 at The Crows Shed, West La...kes. The Conference incorporates over 40 ‘snapshot’ speakers, interactive workshops, live performances and inspirational exhibits. It provides a unique opportunity for experts, government, businesses, organisations and the community to come together and take a collaborative approach to a common cause. 09.01.2022 Ronald McDonald House Dinner..! Can you help us help those who need it the most this Festive Season..? Another Step Closer Inc. is an Adelaide based not for profit organisation specialising in a wide range of opportunities for those in need. One of these Initiatives is hosting the Ronald McDonald House Adelaide Dinners on a quarterly basis for those who need it the most.... This unique dinner involves about 10 volunteers, supplied with a wide range of freshly donated foods and beverages, to cook for up to 60 people. We prepare and cook these meals so the families that have been at the hospital all day get to relax and enjoy a home cooked meal. We are looking for food donations that can help us deliver on our plan of 4 events per year. For our upcoming dinner, we will be preparing hearty BBQ style dinner, as well as Chicken picnic hampers for the long term residents. Items that will assist us in delivering these much needed meals: 8x Whole (Roasted) chickens (Required that evening) 60x Sausages *(Gluten Free) 30x Rissoles *(Gluten Free) 1x Large Cabbage (Asian Coleslaw) 4x large Cucumbers (Asian Coleslaw) 1x Bag of Carrots (Asian Coleslaw) 3x Bags of Pasta - Penne or Ribbons (Pasta bakes & Salad) 2x Bags of Potatoes - Potato bake or mash potato Assorted Bread and bread rolls (Normal and Gluten Free) 3x Bottles of White Wine 3x Bottles of Red Wine Assorted Chips, snacks and lollies (to go into the hampers) Assorted Cheesecakes or Cakes for the dessert options (*Gluten Free options would also be appreciated) ** Xmas Presents for the kids would also be gladly accepted ** If you are able to assist us in any way towards our Goal of supporting those families in need through our RMHC Dinners we would be incredibly grateful to you.
