25.01.2022 Kitchen shots are in for my Willoughby kitchen, pantry, dining and lounge reno. This has to be one of my absolute favourite kitchen designs. Real American Oak paired with @laminexau absolute matt black, simple and beautiful. Custom hardware from @stylefinish tops off our concealed pantry door and integrated Sub-Zero appliance. @liammolloy Joinery @ms_interiorssydney Design @anoushka_allum_design

24.01.2022 We got these gorgeous @jardanfurniture chairs reupholstered at our #willoughbyproject as they were looking tired, unfortunately due to the resident furrbabies using them to sharpen their claws . Changing them up from a dark fabric to a durable tan leather added the warmth and texture that this space needed. And the cats are no longer interested in them as leather just doesn't feel as good as fabric, win win! @liammolloy Upholstery @sydneyupholstery Design @anoushka_allum_design

24.01.2022 Our Willoughby project, swipe left for a before. We couldn't be happier with the transformation of this beautiful kitchen and dining space, with a full hidden walk in pantry. Wolf, Sub-Zero and Miele appliances and the most beautiful materials and finishes. I'd like to be cooking up a feast in this kitchen this weekend! @liammolloy Joinery @ms_interiorssydney Design @anoushka_allum_design

22.01.2022 Super excited to see this bathroom come to life at our #pymbleproject This is a gorgeous Californian Bungalow with oodles of heritage. We're also working up the kitchen design as we speak, watch this space. Design: @anoushka_allum_design Render: @3drevolutionaustralia

22.01.2022 I chose this @johnrobshaw fabric for these navy cushions over 6 years ago. These along with my blue chairs came from my last home. As did the coffee table, side table and lamp. For me it's about having a good base of pieces to build on and holding on to your favourites (like these cushions). I think they will always have a place in my home. What pieces bring you joy in your home? Is it a colour, a fabric, a decor item or a furniture piece handed down through the family? Make... sure you hold onto them, they are the things that truly create a beautiful interior. @liammolloy Design @anoushka_allum_design Artwork @urbanroad_au

21.01.2022 You guys know by now I love my inspirational quotes, especially coming from the greats. I was lucky enough to see a Kandinsky exhibition at the Guggenheim a few years back. His work was so progressive and unique for the time. And I LOVE the way he used colour. We all need a little more colour right now, don't ya think?

20.01.2022 Colour, oh beautiful colour. Greens and blues have always been my favourite colours to work with when designing a room. Used in a bathroom, kitchen, bedroom or living space this combination although delivers on impact always creates a restful space. I'm always in search of balance, ease and natural tones when pulling a room design together. You can't go wrong using colours from nature much like this lounge room in my Rozelle project. @liammolloy ... Design @anoushka_allum_design See more

20.01.2022 Lounge room makeover at our #willoughbyproject My lovely clients had quite a bit of furniture already, but it needed a refresh. I had the Jardan sofa and chairs upholstered, the tan leather really brings warmth to the space. New table lights from @fanulifurniture and styling and we're all set. @liammolloy Upholstery work @sydneyupholstery Design @anoushka_allum_design

19.01.2022 It's that time of year where the property market is hotting up again. Here are my thoughts on investing in the right areas of your home to get the maximum return on investment: https://www.anoushkaallum.com.au/top-5-features-to-highlig/

19.01.2022 Yay! Finally our custom house number arrived and it's soooooo cool If you've visited the Allum's you'll know our entry is at the side of the house, it confuses the best of us. Hopefully not anymore with the addition of my little arrow to guide people. Couldn't be happier. Plus we supported a lovely local signage business in Hornsby who made this for us. Thanks Assignment Signs, we love it! Designed by @anoushka_allum_design

18.01.2022 I do so love these classic tiles from @southern_cross_ceramics they really deliver on connecting a traditional and modern aesthetic don't ya think? Check out my before and after highlights for more on this finished bathroom. Design: @anoushka_allum_design Builder: @lifestylebm.com.au

18.01.2022 I've been designing a lot of kitchens with colour, timber and strong tile features lately. I love the variety that my projects throw at me, but there's nothing like a fresh white kitchen either. Sometimes simple is just right. 17.01.2022 My first blog for 2021 is up! Furniture trends for the coming year, take a look here: https://www.anoushkaallum.com.au/furniture-trends-for-2021/

14.01.2022 More detail from our #willoughbyproject By installing a double beverage and wine fridge open shelving for decanters and glasses, and plenty of storage this becomes a nice drinks prep area while entertaining. I'm hoping a cocktail or two gets shaken this weekend Happy Saturday everyone! @liammolloy Joinery @ms_interiorssydney... Design @anoushka_allum_design See more

14.01.2022 Sometimes it's important to think outside of the box when it comes to room plans and joinery. For instance in this teen bedroom the room was so long but super slim. Windows at both ends of the room made robe placement tricky. Using custom joinery meant we could get creative and build around the window. Perfect for a cool design feature and also offers great storage. No need to be boring with all white joinery either. Here we added blue drawer fronts and tan leather hardware... by @mademeasure classic combo and fun. @liammolloy Design @anoushka_allum_design Joinery @msinteriors

10.01.2022 If your Fiddle Leaf is dropping leaves and looking a bit sad, don't be afraid to cut the healthier stems off, propagate in water until you have a root system (about 8 weeks) then replant. That's exactly what I did with this gorgeous girl, isn't she stunning now! And precious new leaves in the middle of winter @ Wahroonga, New South Wales, Australia

10.01.2022 Ok, so a bit excited about working with this fabric as a jumping off point for a clients bedroom. This will be their beautiful feature bedhead. Stay tuned...

08.01.2022 We used the @_zetr_ flush power outlets throughout our Willoughby kitchen and pantry. Seamless in the stone splashback. It's all in the smaller details. @liammolloy Design @anoushka_allum_design Joinery @ms_interiorssydney

08.01.2022 I hope everyone had a good break over the festive season, I sure did! I'm back to work this week and enjoying the routine again, feeling refreshed and ready for whatever 2021 brings. Does anyone else like taking the Christmas decorations down and playing with some fresh decor placement at home? Time to freshen up your coffee tables, consoles and kitchen benchtops. Changing things up really helps to motivate and move the mind forward, give it a try, especially if you're struggling to get momentum going for the new year. @liammolloy Styling @anoushka_allum_design

08.01.2022 Our little friend Bruno really did steal the show on the shoot of our #willoughbyproject making sure everything was just so for us What a starisn't he gorgeous @liammolloy Design @anoushka_allum_design

07.01.2022 It's time to look forward. Trends for 2021 are starting to filter through, and these trends from a key trade supplier Globe West really appealed to me. See what you think! https://www.anoushkaallum.com.au/globe-west-2021-trends-ne/

07.01.2022 Up on the blog today, why I support locally made and my top 5 suppliers: https://www.anoushkaallum.com.au/made-in-australia/

07.01.2022 I've always loved this Paul Klee quote. Think about it for a minute. We never see something without it creating a feeling. That's why sometimes when you walk into an room it just feels right. There's something that your eye is connecting with that offers you a positive feeling, could be comfort, familiarity, ease, joy, whatever it is notice it. This helps you make great choices for your own home interiors.

07.01.2022 Lovely design coming together for my #hardysbayproject Fabrics (@warwickfabrics this new collection is awesome), rug, leather and material finishes for pieces in the lounge room. Now onto designing the bedrooms and study

05.01.2022 My Rozelle project, dining room looking back into the kitchen. We removed a wall between the kitchen and dining to create connection and bring more light into this dining area. This was a huge success and in turn has created a beautiful open plan space for entertaining. This is still one of my favourite renovations. @liammolloy Design @anoushka_allum_design

05.01.2022 Nope not in my opinion Happy weekend, go give your plants some love #AnoushkaAllumDesign #plant

05.01.2022 Whilst timber grain laminates are great and I specify them often, there's nothing quite like using the real thing. This is American oak in our #willoughbyproject kitchen design. It's subtle character and soft golden tones were just what we needed for a warm yet minimal contemporary feel. Just stunning thanks to @ms_interiorssydney @liammolloy Design: @anoushka_allum_design Joinery: @ms_interiorssydney

05.01.2022 Whilst some are slowly returning to the office, in my current projects, I'm still being asked to give lots of consideration to working spaces from home. I think going forward this will now be a requirement for most. And I'm finding many clients saying that they will have the opportunity to work from home on an ongoing basis. So if you're considering a renovation and have space make sure you have a good spot to set up office. Consider light, noise, storage and comfortable desk spaces. I personally love having a permanent home office and find I'm far more productive that way. Reach out if you want to discuss further! Design @anoushka_allum_design

02.01.2022 Up on the blog this week, designing a teenagers bedroom: https://www.anoushkaallum.com.au/designing-for-teens/
