The stockings were hung on the bulkhead with care, In hopes that St. Boeing would soon get us there.... The businessmen were nestled all snug in their chair, Whilst that smell of jet fuel lingered in the air. And mamma in her sleep suit, and I in my cap, Had just settled our brains for a very short nap. When out from the galley there arose such a clatter, I sprang from my chair to see what was the matter. "We just got our cake tins!" one of them said, I stood there confused, just nodding my head. "Wanna know what this is?" she asked of me truthfully, "Well, am I with Ansett? Absolutely."

This week marks two very important milestones for the airline with the achievement of 6000 likes and the successful amendment to the federal governments controversial Safe Skies initiative which has been regarded by many as a frivolous waste of resources on a statistical minority within the Civil Aviation Community. Joining us this morning at the Swagman family restaurant for the official 6000 likes brunch was keynote speaker & regular Go...lden Wing lounge attendee, Senator Cory Bernardi. Senator Bernardi delighted the crowd with his natural charisma and had a few choice words in honour of this important 6000 like milestone. Particularly poignant was the senators acknowledgement of the significance of the number 6000 saying: Today we celebrate the fact that Ansett has the same number of likes as the Earth has had years since its creation A little later in his speech Senator Bernadi touched on the matter of Safe Skies and its recent revamp: For too long this industry has been wasting money on minority interests.
